Its boggles my mind to be completely honest. What makes it even worse is that he made it to Top 8 and there is no way of resolving the issue except for letting the tournament continue and blacklist FR, another tournament that needs to be made as an example so people don't repeat this if all of this pool switching is true. There is no reason as to why someone can be excused for being late, anybody else would have gotten DQ'ed without a second thought.

Btw, I still stand by paper brackets being the best. You could have somebody create a system that automatically does brackets for you, and the dude you hand the keys to will still fuck it up.

Also, there needs to be proof behind that tweet. Like with ECT there was easy as hell to see proof of what happened.

I'm on mobile now so I can't grab it, but supposedly the pool assignments that are still on the site show Hiro listed in a pool that is clearly not the one he played in. /shrug

That's his reputation, plus I've seen him get salty and ragequit back when the PeacefulJay Marvel online lobby streams were a thing. I haven't seen too much of him doing it lately, regardless I wanted Clock to win that. How he lost like that after being up 2-0 bugged me.

Smash TOs are starting to use https://smash.gg/tournaments for registrations and they're all swearing by it. The fact that its handled by a 3rd party I think will help build transparency into the process.

Highlighted their names in red but clearly Hiro was in pool 1. Also kinda important because there's a chance Hiro could have lost to momochi in his pool and started top 64 in losers. Or not, but yeah.

Out of curiosity I went to r/kappa expecting a blowup there about it, goddamn they really don't like Filipinoman over there do they lol.

I'm gonna crash, figure there will be some sort of confirmation or denial by tomorrow. As an old-ass man I'm really sick of there seeming to always be some sort of bullshit or drama at every major event with brackets, or TOs, or scheduling etc. Honestly makes me not want to go to events.

Champ was sent to losers through a dq.

Damdai would have made it out of pools through losers and Mago would have made it out of winners. Which means Itabashi would have had to play Mago which of course is a slightly better matchup for Itabashi.

So you see how this changes everything.

Shit talk doesn't bother me in the least, I love it actually.

It's just that I've fought him so many times and we go pretty even, so when I see players that are FAR better than me fall victim to some of his bullshit it just makes me pull my hair out.

Edit: plus I have a huge clockwork boner.

He IS playing Marvel again, thing is that since his hiatus a lot of people have gotten a lot better. More people know the Morrigan match up. He doesn't get any free wins in pools/semis any more due to people rolling over against his team.

Like Marvel at FR had about 200 entrants which isn't as high as it once was but the quality of play is way higher. The level of play is more dense... there are fewer matches you have to play but every one is a killer.

I watched pools of Marvel today after a while and everyone was fucking struggling. It was no shock that some of these players didn't even make it out of pools when once they could get top 8 at a major pretty easily.
