I want it to sell well enough for From and Miyazaki to keep putting out interesting, unique games for a while.
And for Sony to try to recreate that success by financing talented studios in exchange for new games on their systems, instead of doing sequels to franchises that could use a break, or games that are so un-ambitious gameplay wise (Order, Knack).

I think Dark Souls 2 probably sold the most on PC.

Nope PS3. There used to be a website where you could track stats on each SKU, like deaths, number of times a boss was beaten, deaths etc and PS3 led.

If it can get the attention of the playerbase and can stay in the spotlight for a while as a critically acclaimed game among many stinkers recently, this can be beneficial! What else is there to grab the attention of the masses?

You've got people whose purchase of a Ps4 is contingent on Bloodborne's release( impossible to say in terms of numbers of course, but if gaming forums are any indication...) as well as Soul fans and people just wanting the first 'big' exclusive based off the hype. I expect nothing under 4 million sales, 1/5th of the current userbase which will be expanded because of this game.

Going by the hype generated, the relatively small number of AAA on either console thus far, where it has been on amazons top games list for the better part of a month, the quality of the game and the number of copies that Yoshi alone owns (4), my completely dart-at-a-dartboard projection is that at least 10% of PS4 owners will buy the game. 2 million.

Based on the current market conditions, the re-energized core audience and how well received the game is I predict a total of 1.5 million by the end of the year, life time world wide sales to be around 3 million.

I believe it will blew past my optimistic estimates of 2 - 2.5 million WW based on its surge on Amazon after launch .

and i think Sony probably estimated between 1.5 - 2 million WW.

Sony likely estimated and budgeted around 750k WW at launch. Considering the install base of the system vs. the 360/PS3 at dark souls and dark souls 2 launch, not sure how they could of expected anything more then that. Maybe 1.2m or so lifetime?

I am to the point to where I think this will sell 1,000,000 WW at launch and then another 1.5-2 million over the lifespan. Could possibly become the best selling Miyazaki " souls " game?

2-3 million, definitely. There are 20 million PS4s out there, and a lot of people are starved for a AAA, highly rated title. Reviews do matter, and Bloodborne is getting great reviews. 10% of the install base buying the first true, highly rated "next-gen (current gen, really)" AAA game on PS4 doesn't sound that crazy to me.

So far, here in Portugal, at the store i work for, the pre orders were good and so far the movement of people coming to the store to see if they can already buy the game has been intense.

Right now it's sold out on Best Buy and not in stock for Amazon.

I actually tried to buy it today so I could pick it up tomorrow... I have to actually go to the stores to pick it up and hopefully it's there.

I expect 3-4 million worldwide as well, since it's the best exclusive on the platform to date and won't be challenged until the next Uncharted? Even if the title isn't for everyone, there's been too many disappointing AAA exclusives on the console and Bloodborne will benefit from the situation.
