Aw yiss! I finally beat the game today. Wasn't even planning on it.

Don't read if you haven't finished the game.
Thanks for the help with Garham strategy from the OT2. When I found out you could backstep before shooting the gun for an easy parry the rest was cake.

Also what, The Doll
went immobile? I can still upgrade with her, but this is kind of unsettling.

Did you use all your insight? This changes with the amount you have, from what I've seen its 0 = immobile, 1-4 sleepy, 5+ standing around, 10+ moves around the hunters thingy

Holy fucking shit. Mid game spoiler for an npc
I send some dude back to the church, felt he was kinda sketchy, go check in the church, old lady dead. Ha patches we meet again. Time to die. Dude fucking transforms into the shit of nightmares, scared the everything shit out of me
This fucking game. So glad I'm diving in blind.

Goddammit, OT3.

Wish I could have participated more in the previous two but y'all don't give a shit about spoilers. Makes me wonder why there's a spoiler thread at all.

Is it bad that I did this boss on my second try >.> Just got behind him and mashed away.

It's mostly just that his swipe attacks cover a huge arc, and he has multiple attacks that can take off 80% of your health bar or more in one hit. Combined with the fact that it's hard to get behind him, you often have to use a full bar of stamina just sidestepping to try to get to the point where you have a good opening to attack, and if you time any of those sidesteps wrong, you could get hit, locking your character for just long enough to open yourself up to a more devastating attack.

It sounds more like your playing the game for the sake of beating it instead of having fun and taking it at your own pace and

What the fuck lol

Maybe playing coop is actually the fun part for some people? People enjoy different things, what a shocker

Oh shit! I've been trying to figure out what triggers her states, it all makes sense now.

I cant reccomend progressing through chalice dungeons enough guys. The first one is definitely boring, but they ramp up quick and its completely halted my second character and my NG+ playthrough. Its like a whole nother half of the game.

What route do you guys use for blood vial farming? I've been using this route in Central Yarnham. My best run so far maxed out at 99 vials in 20 minutes. Anyone know of anything better?

I got a much better one since it is also great for blood echos as well. Endgame area and boss spoilers tho:
The area before the Wet Nurse gets me over 80k souls and tons of vials per go with all 3 echo boosting runes on me.

No what I'm doing is expressing my disappointment that the FROM game design makes it hard for me to play it the way I want to play it. I would like to master all the boss battles and solo the bosses. It seems fun. But I feel like FROM forcing me to wait through long loading screens and run past lots of enemies for a long time upon each death makes me less interested in playing the way that I would like to be playing.

This isn't meant to be insulting, but you do realize that changing the game to suit the way you want to play it would make it less enjoyable for the people that the game currently suits the way they like it? It is okay if the game is not for you, not everything has to be. There are painfully few games that are still made this way though so people that enjoy it don't have a lot of options.

So, at the end if every chalice dungeon I get an item to make a new, harder/more advanced one?

for the fixed pre-generated ones, that's how it works until lower hintertomb. That one gives you the short chalice you need for co-op.

Root chalices (the randomly generated ones) give random stuff. But you can apparently also find more chalices in there - I haven't had any luck but they do drop from optional bosses in the main game areas.

Root chalices also have some neat stuff like uncanny/lost weapons. They have the same stats but different gem slots.

Is there a best place to go after the vicar? I've been kind of stumbling around finding what seem like optional areas since but I can't find a right way to go. I did find a
forest full of gunners and dogs just now,
please don't tell me it's that way.

Any tips for the cleric beast. I've tried the locking on, not locking on method. Try molotovs but just can't get his health down past half way.

The run from chapel lamp to
One Reborn
is pretty long and it's difficult to not take damage. I'm not 100% sure if there's a lamp closer to the fog door, though.

You don't go from the Chapel, you go from the first lamp up top. There is an elevator at the top, near a guy in a wheelchair and one swordsman. You roll out of that elevator through a broken window, and run into a room with a basin. Press X on the basin to teleport down to the street level. Take out the one bell maiden and the swordsmen, go down the ladder, and you're on the street near the fog wall. Never have to touch one of those mimic dog things.

Never lock onto big bosses, it's a trap. Cleric Beast has
one gigantic hand
. There's your hint!

So, Bamber Gascoigne...I can get him to beast mode by strafing around the headstones at the far end but then when goes all beasty...I just lose it. Thinking of pounding the fucker with molotovs at that point. Doable?

People would really find it less enjoyable to be able to restart at the boss battle upon death instead of having to spend a long period running past enemies to get back to the boss upon each boss battle death?

Don't mean to be insulting either but I find it hard to appreciate how that would reduce anyones enjoyment of this game in any way.

Two possible areas.
Forest is one of them. Other area is to the left (coming up the stairs) of Vicar Amila fight

the true enemy. i'm watching videos on my ipad or checking GAF while I farm.
Yeah i usually take a drink of water, check twitter/GAF, or text people back. It honestly doesnt bother me much, except central Yharnum, i swear thats the longest one.

For starters, load times are getting patched. Secondly, by saying they're "forcing you to wait through long loading screens" you make it sound like the load times were an intentional game design choice. It's obviously an accident, and one they've said they're going to fix.

Regardless, most boss runs are 30 seconds. The longest one in the game is probably a minute and a half. It's really not that long.

Thanks. :) By the end, I was just spamming heals on myself instead of trying to use antidotes, lol.

Thats awesome haha. Yea BSB poisons you nonstop, and antidotes take forever to use! I know I died a couple times because I didn't bother to antidote, tried to heal and then went for the kill instead lol.

So I don't know if it is because I've played all the Souls games and beaten them but Bloodborne seems way easier than the rest.

The game is hard initially, but just gets easier and easier. I'm beating bosses first try way too often at the moment.

Just beat Amydala and Micolash first try

Asking again, might have missed someone answering:

Question about chalice dungeons: are you only allowed to open a limited amount of chalice dungeons based on the tombstones? I need mats for different ones, could you just go back and clear ones you already opened for a chance at different mats?

Can you override chalice dungeons?

Any help is much appreciated, hunters.
