By far the worst. The distant terrain there is probably not land that you can travel to, so they clearly didn't bother adding too many features\details to it.
The rest look pretty darn good though.

Clearly the game has undergone a shift in art direction. They aren't going for that realistic look anymore, but rather a much more colorful\vibrant look.

So will we be able to swim undewater anywhere? Or just in closer/landlocked regions?
For instance, if I jump out after that wale, can I see the rest of it underwater? And if so, what underwater beasts await me?
I don't think that would be possible.But it would be crazy if we could do that.The game would take me years to finish it lol.

Just a guess, but on the map below you can see dotted lines around the islands in the lower left map, so I'm assuming those might be the areas you can swim in.

It is not an optimal source no, but I think that the several millions claim is fair if at worst a bit overstated. Besides I keep seeing 11 million as the peak population, do you have a source for "barely exceeded 10 mln"? The point wasn't to give a 100% accurate retelling of Polish history but to illustrate that Poland very much was multicultural and that people who keeps insisting that keeping the game ethnically homogeneous for the sake of "that is how it was back then" are not presenting a good argument.
I mean there is also the fact that the mongol empire used to stretch into eastern Europe (including Poland), the Ottoman empire used to be part of Europe, to say that excluding people of other ethnicities in a fictional world based on Europe somehow is important or "more accurate" is a very weird idea which doesn't really have a basis in history.
You acknowledge that there is and has been people who are "of visibly different race" living in the region which we are discussing so I fail to see how someone suggesting that this is represented in the game is a bad idea.

Can't disagree more. Those early screens were hardly what I'd call a 'realistic' look. There are vibrant colours in real life. I'm glad they dropped the awful sharpening filter as well.

Very competent rig. Would be interesting to see if the 2GB variant will hang at 1440p. I had the PNY 4GB 770. If it pushes more VRAM then it might push the limits of your system memory as well. That's why I believe 16 is the new 8 compares to around '08.

You raise an interesting point. This is the Witcher so there needs to be some sort of endgame reward like say your own castle or town. Give me a mansion CDPR to frolic in.

The author of the world, of the characters, etc. is Andrzej Sapkowski and he wrote his books and stories that way, so why should there be black people? In how many movies taking place in real historical times did you have seen black people? And finally, do black people make everything more "realistic" or what?.. why aren't the asian/african/and many more cultures so easily offended by in this case, basically nothing like you?

I mean, I know it will run and look better on my PC. But I am hoping to play at 4K on PC. So hopefully TW3 is optimized as hell. TW2 struggles with 4K on Ultra on my rig.
Also I prefer the Dual Shock to my 360 game pad. Also Share button.
I guess we'll see. If the difference is huge, and it may well be with Nvidia HairFX... I will play it on PC no doubt.

That's understandable. I bought FC4 on PS4 even though my PC is a lot faster. The differences were not that big and the PS4 version actually had better AA.
That said, I think with The Witcher 3 they're putting enough extra effort into the PC version to the point where even if you play at less than 4K you'll still get a much nicer looking game on PC.
