We actually had a Suzuka "book read club" a few months ago, there was even had a prize for that managed to keep up with it until the end. It was a lot of fun.

That sounds awesome, too bad I missed it.
Maybe one day something similar happens with Good Ending, or KNIM, if it hasn't already.

Punpun and KnH are pretty high on my to-read list, I just never was in the right mood to start them. I have the strange habit of waiting on good and interesting reads as to not waste them when I'm not in the right frame of mind/don't have enough leisure time for them and instead turn to trashier series - preferably the lowest of low ecchi/harem stuff - to take my mind of things and just enjoy something brainless. In that way, some stories that I really look forward to reading have been sitting around in my backlog for years, PunPun being one of the most prominent examples.

Maybe the prospect of a future internet friendship might finally push me into giving them the time they deserve.

Unfortunately I think most of the thread already read those, at least KNIM since it's pretty infamous around this parts. Good Ending there might be enough non-readers to get going. Though considering how popular Domestic na Kanojo is maybe I'm wrong.

I expect her to do that a lot now. Also I don't know how Yuu thought Aoi was younger than him or the same age.

I didn't care much for the manga after the plot got convulted somewhere around the introduction of Darin and all that research stuff. I liked the initial slice-of-life setting and simple romance with a twist. While the manga had its moments, it was nowhere near well paced and captivating. And then came chapter 55 where the calm scenery leading up to the bleak reveal even managed to surprise me and made me gasp inaudible. Even if the whole amnesia dumbness lessened the impact a bit, that was still a well pulled off moment. Not for shock, not illogical, but a consequential result of the story setup and an agreeable finale for the story.

And then chapter 56 ruined it. I mean, it was obvious, the somewhat happy ending was kinda a given, but still it frustrates me to no end. It wasn't quite as bad as the added scenes of MGS4, since that's a story I actually cared for somewhat, but Sankarea still left me feeling empty as any cop out ending has every done.

Somehow i've missed this post.

Haven't posted in these manga threads in a long loooong time, but now I have to cause this is fucking amazing. I'm always going "plot plot plot, I need twists etc or atleast awesome fights and budding romances" when it comes to anime and manga so I'm kind of surprised how goddamn good a coming of age story with, well, no real plot could be.

And the art is so fucking insanely good. Every single panel is incredibly well drawn.

I think that's a translation error; the official version's translation is "your vocalist has a nice voice, but no visual appeal." The emphasis is supposed to be that he just looks like a random high school student and not a sexy-man like that douchebag guy in the rival band.

You can already tell the other members of Fuuka2's band are supposed to be irrelevant since they don't even have unique designs; they're just generic Seo background characters. I assume at some point she will in fact join the band since their "no other members" thing is pretty dumb as it is.

There is no reasonable limit to the re-reads you can do for a series like Suzuka or Good Ending.
Everyone should do it once a year for their own personal happiness and sanity. It's a fun group thera...activity!
