I kinda like it. And I like most of the takes on the Joker. Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Mark Hamill, Heath Ledger are all good in their own way (I don't like Staple Face Joker). This is a very modern take, because of course a young Joker is going to have tats, everyone his age has tats.

Pretty sure Heath's Joker was widely well received when it was first revealed.
I wasnt on Gaf when he was revealed but everywhere I've seen, the opinion was very mixed. Some were hoping he was actually a Joker victim.

It's different. I can deal. If I would remove one thing, it would be the stupid "damaged" tattoo, or most of the other annoyingly meta ones. The idea of a tatted Joker isn't bad tho.

Maybe the performance will blow me away (and I like Leto a lot as an actor) but that looks like a terrible picture you'd see on the outside of a cheap ass Halloween costume. Does absolutely fuck all for me visually.

I'm trying to think of a worse version of Joker I've seen, but I really can't. Even the shittiest animated versions look better than this mess. My mild interest in Suicide Squad is gone.

We've gotten some amazing portrayals of the Joker in both film and animation, and I've learned, after Heath Ledger, to never judge a Joker until I see him. I was so not sold on Ledger until I saw him in action in his first trailer appearance.
I'm more than willing to give Leto the benefit of the doubt.
I'm not so beholden to tradition that a different take on the Joker is a travesty.

I think punk rock Joker is something that's inevitable, so I approve. We need to see it once.
