P.T might be gone from the PS Store after April 29th

Really seems a waste to just bin the concept of this entirely.

I know it's a gross oversimplification of how game development works, but PT had a pretty solid framework for a horror game already built and garnered a lot of interest from people who downloaded it, so even without Kojima, Konami could have just hired someone to expand on what's there so they wouldn't have to develop a new game from scratch.

Could in all likelihood have resulted in a game that sucked, sure, but it wouldn't have been as wasteful as what they're doing here.

I'm sure there will be people who will miss out on the download since they may not have a PS4 yet, or never bothered downloading it in the first place. Good idea.

Eh, if the game's in pre-production, that means the framework isn't exactly solid.

I mean, sure, alternatively, they could just have Silent Hills be PT + combat x10 hours, but that is definitely a gross oversimplication.

Alternatively, we can believe the rumours of that the head of Konami hates Kojima, and this is just another way to continue to denounce him.

I re-downloaded it from my list at around 10 am UK time. Can anyone else, who didn't have it installed on their PS4, confirm it's gone from/still on their download list?

Well going by this page there seems to be some uncertainty on that. Some have been able to download it again, myself included (finished downloading at around 10 am UK time), while for some others it's gone from their D/L list.

Where did that rumor come from? I kind of doubt the authenticity as the narrative surrounding this whole mess seems to be shifting to the genius Kojima being fired because Konami is ran by complete idiots as opposed to, say, Kojima makes expensive games and is likely very controlling and Konami, whose games division isn't a huge part of their business, wasn't willing to pay him enough or afford him enough control to keep him around.

Weirdly, it was very hard to find last week when I sent a link to a friend - searching for it didn't yield any results, and I couldn't browse for it at all on mobile. The only way I could find it was browsing through the PS4 demos on the PC store (didn't try on PS4). Either way it's gone now.

However, it's definitely still showing in my download list:

Eurogamer tested it out and it appears they were able to red/l it. So yay, not officially gone from servers atm.

Wait, so it's only gone from the store but if I have it in my download list I'm clear? I "bought" it but since I don't have a PS4 just yet I've yet to actually download it.

All the P.T. consoles that have sold on ebay are sold by 0 feedback sellers. Pretty sure there's some collusion happening to create a market for this lol

Just a reminder people, the download list on the Web Store is trash. Just because you don't see it right away doesn't mean it's not actually there. Use PSDLE and then see if it's really not there.

Because when it was announced I couldn't find it on the UK store but it was there on the US store...hence my assumption.

Just got it on the web browser store.
Glad things always take longer to disappear there than the console stores (IE: When all the UMvC3 DLC went away).

Apologies guys, turns out when I downloaded it before it was on my US profile, and it was on the download list there.

I need some to download it now after redeeming for it on PSN through the web store to simulate my experience of trying to secure it without having a PS4.

Too bad it didn't come to PC too.

Just to be clear: games do not disappear from your download list. Never.

I have old internal game builds in my list and they didn't disappear and I can still download them. Those are even more irrelevant than my public closed PS3 betas and even they can be downloaded - some of them are way over 5 years old.

P.T. Is no exception.

Aren't there some people who posted in this very thread that some games they bought were later removed though? It might be a low % of delisted games but that's not to say it's not a possibility.

I know for a fact some of the japanese PS1 games that MonkeyPaw put out on PSN were removed completely when they were delisted.

It's exceedingly rare, but it does happen, which is why people were worried.
