NFL Offseason Thread |OT3| Mock draft Central sponsored by the Shirtless League

If Tom legit knew and lied to us that's shitty. Not sure if he really did or things just look really bad, tend to give him the benefit of the doubt, but eh I dunno.

THIS pisses me off way more about Brady. https://youtu.be/UR7NBYceZig?t=17
Supporting that domestic abuser Mayweather... smh. Fucking with football inflation? Wrong, but not that big of a deal.

Sorry for just getting to this now, needed to get a checkup on my wrist. Completely agree with that last paragraph, but as for the first he most definitely lied. There were way too much pages of texts with people acknowledging he told them to do it plus mention of the memorabilia payment for him to have not known anything, and the only reason there wasn't immediate punishment is because the report acknowledged he wasn't dumb enough to confess to shit. The alternative is trusting the guy who said he loved his pregnant girlfriend then cheated on and left her for a model, and his agent who's on the same morals scale as a lawyer (fuck agents and lawyers). I want to like Brady, but he's got no leverage here. Everyone knows he guilty as fuck, and everyone knows he's getting off scot free with it for the most part (I'm assuming a fine and maybe a one or two game suspension).

Also hoping for just the latter because Grover's posts must go on <3

Some on the Giants board I frequent act like he's Orlando Pace in his prime. Dallas OL was already a great bunch - with no serious injuries. Still up to their defense and Romo making the key throws.

I don't know about that, Free has had ankle surgeries two years in a row now and isn't getting any younger. Leary has a degenerative knee condition and his career could be over at any moment.

Bummer that Michael Buchanan never developed for the Patriots. I was always excited by the prospect of having two 6'6 bookend pass rushers. Even without him, I feel much better about the pass rush depth than I have in years with Jones, Ninkovich, Sheard, Geneo Grissom, Trey Flowers, and Zach Moore.

Pats fans I am now ready to celebrate Tom Brady Tueadays and Tainted Titles. Thursday's!

its a celebration up in this bitch!

If we had to lose a Super Bowl to prove once and for all that the Pats are cheaters and will never win anything legitimately, I'll be glad we took one for the team!

We've known that for a long time though.

Danny Oneil says SEA offer to Wilson is about $78M over 2016-2019 (4 yrs) or $80M over 5 (2015-2019)

I don't think he's worth it, but it's unlikely they'll find a better QB anytime soon.

On the surface why would he take a 5th year for 2 mil

I'm admittedly not very good with contract stuff, but would that just be the last year of his rookie deal plus the 4 year extension? I think it's the same contract, just a different way of looking at it.

Now this:

Softy says he has heard that RW is asking to be the highest paid player in the history of football by a large margin. On air now.

Not worth it. Let him walk and trade for Mariota.

Holy shit, I understand wanting to get paid... but damn. Does he really think he's worth that much? Kind of insane. I guess gold told him though!

Personally I hope the Hawks pay Russell that kind of money. Still believe Luck is waiting for his deal to get done so he can ask for more than Russell.

Wow.

He is, maybe, the third best player on his team.

Could just be part of the negotiations - ask for more than you're going to get and work your way back down to what you actually want.

These are good numbers, but not highest-paid-player-in-history numbers. Sorry. Those numbers don't include playoff games, but still. He might have a little more support from me if we had won back to back Super Bowls.

La Canfora says that the only way he sees a deal getting done before this season is if Paul Allen steps in and says "get it done" - which isn't really a Paul Allen move.
