I'm still personally expecting a release this holiday. I don't have any knowledge on its release date but there are a few factors that make me convinced rather than not. The game's been in development for quite a while now and it isn't the kind of game that needs a year + of marketing and advertising. It's a new Fallout game, everyone knows what it is, everyone will plop down 60 bones on day one regardless whether they announce it's coming a year from now or a week from now. There's no need to build up "hype", just look at what happens to the internet at any mere mention of the game, everyone's already busting at the seams before it's even announced.
Many developers and publishers are becoming more wary of announcing big games very early on and draaaagging out their marketing schedules. It's an impediment more than it is beneficial for the game. People lose interest over time, they start scrutinizing every little piece of news or info and it's counterproductive. We've seen this happen.
It's also a reason why Todd Howard said as much as he did here: https://youtu.be/V0MpuiYJkuI?t=21m51s
I'd prefer to wait until 2016 and know they haven't cut corners catering for old gen consoles.
Since that same time Bethesda, has released a couple Skyrim expansions. I'm not complaining but its really frustrating as a big Elder Scrolls fan looking at 2019 - 2020 for TESVI.
Is this a serious question? Why not release in 2015, though? Would it collide with anything else from Bethesda?
I dunno why people expect 2015 release for unannounced games.

Spring 2016 is like best case scenario

Forza Horizon 2, Halo MCC, LBP3, Every Sports game, every call of duty, every assassins creed. You see any similarities between these and Fallout? Obviously not annualized on Fallout, but the above games don't need big marketing "hype" stretches. The brands are established, and people will buy them whether given 6 months notice or a year and a half.I dunno why people expect 2015 release for unannounced games.

No kidding!
Using my two favorite developers and franchises as an example, Bethesda and DICE (I know, I know.. BUGS). Skyrim and Battlefield 3 launched roughly the same time with in a span of a couple months in 2011. By the time Fallout 4 releases in 2016, DICE will have announced and released the following:
- Battlefield 3 Expansions
- Battlefield 4
- Battlefield 4 Expansions
- Battlefront
- Battlefront Expansions
- Mirror's Edge
- Mirrors Edge Expansions
- Announce and possible release Battlefield 5

I hope they are able to hire more than 5 voice actors to do all the voices.
2016:
Fallout 4
Mass Effect 4
Final Fantasy XV
All potentially released in proximity to one another.
As long as it's more like New Vegas than 3, I'll be good. 3 was great, but New Vegas just has more to do and better writing.
I hope they are able to hire more than 5 voice actors to do all the voices.

I can not for sure tell you it is Fallout 4 as it is still listed as code name, but from what I can only assume it is and makes sense with their development cycles and such and considering the Replicated Man quest in Fallout 3 as well as the previous "confirmation" from Kotaku on the casting sheets. (Which was the only solid evidence I found prior to stumbling across this information and freaking out.)
Bethesda has a listing for November 2, 2015 for a game titled "Institute". I can also say that they only have it listed for PC, PS4, and XBOX One.
Now that the big news is there, here is some side news. They also have a listing for sometime in September to release Fallout Anthology. I can only confirm for XBOX One and PC
