The Witcher 3 PS4 gameplay

I could see where you are getting at but I really think it's a stretch that is what he was intoning. It really reads more that he's excited than annoyed about overhype..

I'd expect if he was doing an implication like what you said, the phrasing would be a little more like, "Oh man... that hype" implying a specific hype (like the overhype of the game. Not just hype which implies he's hyped up).

They addressed it on twitter, it is genuine hype, not negative one.

I can't stop seeing it that way now.

Do not panic!

Excited for reviews. Right now the highest rated game for this generation that isn't a remaster is Bloodborne with a 92 (Or Mario 3D World with a 93 if we include Wii U). Can The Witcher 3 top it?

does anyone know where I can hear the music that was in the Rage and Steel trailer?

I think it has at least 3 different songs from OST in it. I can't tell you which ones as OST is 35 tracks and I have only listened it through once, can't remember what tunes is what track :/

The soundtrack sounds great and distinctly Eastern European when it's folky ("Forged in Fire", "The Song of the Sword–Dancer", "Ladies of the Woods", "Silver for Monsters...") and seems decent but pretty generic ("Eredin, King of the Hunt", "Emhyr var Emreis", "The Hunt is Coming") when it goes into pompous mode. Hyped as hell anyway.

Fun to click these links and basically see different youtube channel each time, no one has managed to upload whole OST yet? Pfff...

Also this thread is so derailed that it's already bent out of shape :D

P.S. OST is glorious, got to listen it from start to end once already

Fully bought and paid for today from Best Buy $35. Thanks GCU!

Man I'm hyped. I think this might be the first time I in a looooong time that I actually read the manual, since they seemed to have put some care into it and it's not a one page leaflet. Will check out the compendium also. Any idea what's in it? Or is it basically an overview of the world of the Witcher and some of it's characters?

It has been awhile since Gamespot has given out a 10. From all of the teasing, it makes me wonder. I am thinking at least 9.5.

If it's Kevin, if he likes the developer and games previously from that developer, it's a guaranteed 9.0 minimum. He just did it with DA:I and he just did it with Bloodborne (which was so painfully obviously going to happen). He's usually the only reviewer from Gamespot anymore that I'll remotely trust, but lately he's been letting hype affect his reviews. DA:I was an 8.0 at best, and Bloodborne was about that as well. Reviewers seem to review games right after they've finished them once, without actually having any time for real reflection or the new car scent to wear off.

Yep it's basically that.

It's about world's history, about Geralt, about his friends and so on.

I don't want to watch anything, so just a short question: If I love Red Dead Redemption, is there a chance I like this game too?
there's no guns on this game, but in terms of exploration it could be safe to say is better?...because marston couldn't swim and didn't have a boat, in terms of player customization is a lot better, so i believe that if you can get past the fact of the game having no guns you would love this game, is worth mentioning that red dead redemption was a one in a million years game, for me it was perfect at what it did, i adore that game
