Playing in bed? How do you plan on doing that?

On PC, you'll be getting slightly better performance than a PS4.

You can play in bed if you get an Nvidia shield (the last model is going for cheap in sales) or a laptop to stream the game to. If you have a Tv in your bedroom(you shouldn't, experts agree it's bad for your sleeping habits ;) ), you can hook up that streaming lappy to your TV, or the PC directly to the TV...

I believe he's referring to playing on PS4, which would mean using his Vita to play from bed.

I'm curious how the controls are set up for that, as I found playing DA:I from bed to be a huge pain since the main attack buttons were mapped to the back touchscreen.

Haha no no, my set up is all in my bedroom, my PC is at my desk and all of my consoles are set up with my TV across from my bed.

Since a few years, I haven't been into gaming that much anymore. GTA5 was the last game I played, and I even haven't finished it. Stopped following game news as well, but this is the game which convinced me to buy a PS4. This game looks so great. Someday I will play this! :D

Much more visually appealing then the 2013 trailer.
Art style > Technical graphics

You can have a game that is much more technically better graphically, but that does not necessarily mean it's more visually pleasing to look at then something thats less technical but has a great art style.

Sometimes. But seeing DriveClub's lighting engine (and MGSV, to be fair) makes it hard to look at other games that rely more on bloom and saturation to convey lighting. I really hope DC's engine is either licensed, or there's a nice GDC talk on it so other PS4 devs can begin implementing something similar. Not to say The Witcher's lighting engine looks bad, but DC's lighting (and to an extent, MGSV) truly feels like a different generation than these shots.

Yup, lighting has been everything to me for some time now, makes such a difference in how good something looks. Obviously geometric complexity and lod are huge factors as well. Art design has its place but more often than not I like to see aaa pushing things tech wise, especially from someone like cdpr. There's plenty of inventive art design in indies and smaller scale titles. I'd rather my tentpole games like W3 to impress on both counts.

Man the game is absolutely beautiful, amazing and a ton of other superlatives...

but that god damned animation is pure bollocks... i cant believe that it is so bad. Fighting movement is ok. But the damn walking/running/jumping/changing direction, looks like it is coming from Star Wars's C3PO.

Absolutely no feeling of weight or even realistic motion. You turn and Geralt stays firm as a donkey's stick , his body not bending at all...

Other than that. Awesome. But yeah. Animation hurts my eyes...

played for a couple of hours yesterday.
visited Novigrad and started questing here.
Damn it, I had my doubts but this is one of the best towns in games ever. And I mean it.
It looks realistic as hell, yet its fun and full of stuff. Just a city of my fantasy-RPG dream :)
But I think on leaving for questing somewhere else cuz I'm lvl 6 and everything suggest this town is for grown-ups only. So 10 lvl and up lol

So there's a trophy for completing the game on Death March difficulty. Is that the highest difficulty and is it available for first playthrough?

yep. I also very like the fact that town folk are not the same peasants like in villages. There are a lot of wealthy and noble NPCs who dress well. But even beggers and thieves look different from the ones out in the wild. I really like that. And I was surprised to see an amputee begger - a rare sight in a videogame, but adds to the whole picture.

P.S. I encountered two more bugs I lol'd at.

First is when I talked to quest NPC guard commander - all the other guards derped out in a cutscene running around us having a little chat. That looked like some teens trying to get into a live- TV broadcast.
And another one was funny as well. I jumped into the canal for some stuff - and noticed something white moving underwater. I got closer and laughed at a bird, sitting on a river bottom like it's a norm.
