Get it, READIng the cheevos of it, it stops a little AFTER where I stopped playing it on my iPhone from way back so it's length is worth $5, not to mention that while at first it may not seem like anything amazing or suspensful; it's just a build up.
Once things start getting creepy...IT GETS CREEPIER.

original higurashi had those awful designs, but it's a really celebrated series, don't be fooled for how bad those drawings look, it's good stuff

the version on steam comes with both the updated designs and the shitty originals

the final designs are pretty pleasing imo tho u know, lolis



backgrounds are still pretty bad but who cares

When I played it on my iPhone, I didn't mind how slow it was at first, I liked the interaction between the children...but then THAT happened, and then hooooooooooooly crap...

Thats the OLD art, it comes with new better art, which resembles most average anime, but it's easier on the eyes.
Trust us, if you want a VN that'll make you AFRAID of seeing the next line of dialog or what happens next, Higurashi is a good first VN to start with.

Mind you it'll feel slow and dull at first, but it's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall building up for when shit hits the fan.

Here is official statement from yesterday

"Regarding the comparion video, unfortunately we don’t know how this video was created and what PC settings have been used. It compared an early PC version with a PS4 debug build without the day 1 patch. So it's quite an uncommon basic setting. Something went wrong here and therefore we spoke to the editorial team behind it - we both agreed something is not quite right and while we're figuring out what mistake has been made, we have removed the video. We do admit it looked pretty wonky, hence its removal.It simply made the PC version look pretty bad and YT compression didn't help either. This was not the final build for PC on which we are working till the last moment.There will be visible differences between console and PC (we always said so), stuff like:

  • draw distance
  • framerate
  • resolution
  • exclusive features such as hairworks

We're sorry about the confusion. We are just 4 days away from the release and we can't wait when the PC players will get their hands-on the game."

Eden* will be the longest VN I have played since if my heart has wings. Feel I'm a good ways through it now though. Wish I could compare with the uncensored version. Since as it has gone, doesn't feel like I have missed anything. It's not obvious cuts like nekopara. So as it stands I'm thinking the censored version could be better than the uncensored. I did look up the adult CGs and more than a few had me wondering what the hell was going on. Since they did not fit with the character or story I currently have read.

So after Gears Ultimate appears to be a thing I fired up the PC version and even though it's 9 years old it's still got that special something. If even it's just a lick of paint as long as it's mechanically the same being able to dick about in coop or multi to a tenth of the population when it was originally out I'll be on board. Christ I'd betray you all and buy an Xbone for it if a PC version isn't on the cards.

Anywho in more Steamy news and seeing as Mad Max Fury Road is out GMG have a preorder page up for Avalanche's upcoming game.

Will wait for reviews, but then again JC2 had good reviews and I didn't like it.
Will wait for steam gaffer impressions and to tell me if the game only has 5 missions.

5 missions that take 5 hours to each unlock but causing the right amount of "Havoc" Mad Max's version of JC's Chaos.

Edit: Saying that going by WB yanked the boxed retail release for Arkham Knight bar a limited run for those who had preordered I have no idea what this listing on Amazon really is or if it woll get yanked anyway.

Its been 5 days since I emailed them. And no response yet, and I've sent them another one 2 days ago.

Do they even have a customer support service? Or does all the emails goes to a digital-goat basket?

Yeah, it is a family sharing bug. I've never played TF2 or added it to my library, and it always jumps to the top of the list after a day has passed.

This began once I started family sharing.

The shortcut list is pretty buggy in general. I deleted a bunch of nonsteam game shortcuts I was no longer using and they all showed up in my shortcut list even though they'd just been removed. Just one of those Steam Client Things™ I guess!

It kind of slipped under the radar, but The Magic Circle is pretty legit. It's fundamentally a story game, but the way it's told is fantastic. It's sort of an inside look at game development gone to hell.

And I like the "hacking" aspect of the puzzles...It's way more "bounded" than hack-n-slash. Creatures (and objects) basically have a set of attributes on a series of labels ("I move by ____ " "I attack with ____" "My friends are ____" "my enemies are _____" When you hack monsters, you can steal and re-assign those attributes among your ever-growing entourage. And since your char can't really do much of anything yourself, you need to get creative in how you approach puzzles.

"Oh, if I make that character throwable and fireproof, I can use it to cross that..."
"If I give that thing fireburst and make X it's enemy, it should..."
"Hmm, if I give this thing repulsor and make *me* it's enemy it should blow over to..."
