Animal Crossing Mafia |OT| - Making Animal Friends Is Awesome!

No, This:

I would point my finger of suspicion in the bottom 4, as always, mafia always are quiet if they fear saying to much. So if we do have to lynch someone, now or later on, I would suggest one of this for:

SmokinGunZ1981 2
nin1000 2
HippieHobo 2
freakzilla149 2

Of course, my main pick right now would be Haly sine his profile picture is Tonnura-san =P.

I was getting shit before for low post count. I ended up posting at night, so I was just lurking instead of posting.

That's interesting. So if the mafia has their own thread, they don't really need to be very active here, because as you said, they could make mistakes. Let's look at the least active players then.

Well, if Karkador did it the same way as it was in the last game, the HHA have a temporary forum on a different website so that doesn't mean they don't need to be active here.

Plot twist; what if they didn't evict Tucah? What if there's a third party involved? Could this possible? o:

That was one of the first places my mind went, since it's not what I pictured when I thought of an "eviction"...

...but what if Tucah was HHA? o_O

Ok now I'm reaching... but on the topic of third parties, Ultron's role makes me believe there are neutral parties in the game.

P2 - The roomies are both Town but the HHA thought they'd be protected

The HHA perhaps thought that the roomies would be protected, so they made a random hit on Tucah. This would likely mean that either the HHA don't have a power role that can kill, or that power role is limited in use or days.

Personally, I think P2 is the most likely of what happened, but also possibly that one of the roomies is HHA.

I also think this is the likeliest series of events. I think by discussing it so much we drew attention to the fact that the roomies would be an easy two kills, and that may or may not have drawn attention the attention of a protection role, so the HHA turned their attention elsewhere. On the other hand, where would we be had the HHA evicted the roomies? We still wouldn't have much to go on. We don't know what the investigator or protection roles did last night, and they can't tell us without compromising themselves.

Sidenote, I think fran's role switching theory is too out there. We should keep things simple.

We're a little early in the game to start pressuring people with random votes, I think.

Why choose freakzilla? Because he lives next door?

It's the only move we've got. We don't have any evidence to implicate freakzilla, but we don't have any evidence of anything yet. At this rate, we're going to either go through the second day without an eviction or end up choosing someone randomly.

Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
...but what if Tucah was HHA? o_O

Ok now I'm reaching... but on the topic of third parties, Ultron's role makes me believe there are neutral parties in the game.

Look back to Karkador's post. He included his PM to Tucah which said he was Town.

If you all look through the last page there are handful of players who have formed a nice consensus on who to evict.

Why even use postcount as a basis of guilt? Because it's easy enough to make a few posts and then blame the less active ones. Am I now not guilty since I've posted a lot more?

I'll make a prediction that one of the wolves is LaunchpadMcQ or Darryl.

You have done literally nothing to defend yourself, your position has been "Meh, you are voting me but its not me, so screw you guys"

Dude, you still had not give us reasons to not evict you. If you are the townie you claim to be help us out and tell us what have you done for the town.

While I do normally agree with this, I think this train of logic is somewhat flawed at the start, especially if you're a neutral party. Granted, he hasn't really done much logic to say why it could be other people, or provided an alternative kill here so I'm not really against it, just saying that if you don't have a power you're kinda stuck in a rut right now.

i dunno if that's a fair thing to ask.

if he's a poor, power-less townie, what can he do to prove he's innocent? especially at day 2.

but that's not to say I'm totally opposed to making him homeless.

Oh yeah, we are stuck and got nothing going for us, and this is exactly why we need to get this going.

Also, we have two people claiming normal villager so far.

And what reason have you given for not evicting you? What have you done?

Since my post count is quite a bit higher now, surely I'm no longer a potential threat? Such silly logic.

"This guys are evicting me! They are totally suspicious" is not good enough =/

Isn't it funny how everyone else is trying to figure stuff based on deduction but the three of you just happen to find an easy consensus? As quite a few people already pointed out your accusations are baseless.

Just let it go, or do You have valuable information we are lacking atm ? Why are You trying to get him evicted ?

Its not really about he not posting, I pretty much based my vote in this:

Freakzilla is both near an anomaly (bridge) and towards the center, so it meets my minimum "this is who we should have started with" requirements. In terms of acting suspicious, Mazre. He went from accusatory to sitting on the sidelines pretty quick. In terms of thinking strategically with the map and with last nights results, the roomies. They were already suspicious and the odds have only gone up since they were passed on an eviction last night. If it was two clean roomies (one with a role?) they would have been gone in a heartbeat and with plenty of people already pointing their fingers there it probably would have gone pretty clean.

This along with his not posting AND lack of reasons to NOT vote for him is why I am not changing my vote. Its not like I want him out of the game, its more like we really don´t have leads, so at this point is either vote someone who seems a little bit suspicious or vote no one at all.

And really, all his non-answers are convincing me that he is not a townie, I don´t know for sure, of course, but he has yet to give me a reason to not vote him other than "why are you voting, don´t do that."

Well i can certanly See your point now and i agree that we have to vote someone out today as it is the only way to force out information that is important.

So, after Freakzillas more recent posts, I'm not sure what to think. His posts have consisted of trying to push blame onto the three people who have voted for him so far rather than providing a good defense for why we shouldn't vote for him besides "Since my post count is quite a bit higher now, surely I'm no longer a potential threat?"

You could read into this being a town member trying to save their life or a HHA member trying to save their life. I don't feel strong enough about anyone else right now so I'm going to vote for them unless something comes up before the end of the day phase.

1. Aren't you curious how they seemed to have such a nice, easy to avoid criteria for selecting the evictee? Or how they arrived at such an easy agreement, well before everyone else.

2. How would defend yourself in my position. I have done what can be done.

3. Surely the sarcasm should be quite clear. What a silly reason to evict someone. As a simple villager I had no interesting role (until now, funnily enough) so I mostly just lurked. Feel free to look through my post history, you'll see that I don't really post all that much anyway.

Do what you must, but once I'm gone at least heed my warnings.

To be fair, your 3rd point isn't exactly a good reason. I'm a boring ass villager as well, but I've found that it's quite a lot easier to come up with things to talk about than when on the opposing side.

That said, you're being pretty antagonistic which would be an unwise tactic for an HHA guy. I think you're a regular villager, like you say, and can understand why what's happening is frustrating, since we can't really act like we're important or anything. But yeah, antagonism isn't going to help much. See egruntz last game. So I'm not going to vote for you, but I won't be surprised if you are today's sacrifice.

Yeah. I'm pretty sensitive to perceived injustice, even if it's a game where that's basically the entire point.

Oh well. I'd rather go out antagonising people than just roll over and die.

Absolutely. This is why we should have axed the roomies. Some of you guys sat around with your hands on the air and openly passed the turn. Now they took a nobody out and we have just as little information as we did the first turn. Other than that geography "may" play a part.
Yea. I'm for doing it just out of the curiosity of the thing. They are the center of attention down there. The way I see it: It has to happen eventually, so why not now? We all know they aren't going to make it to the end.

Yesterday you wanted to get the roomies out of town but today you ignore them and go for freakzilla. Has changed something ?

freakzilla149 (My notes mention Post 249, don't remember what it is.)
21GunShow (Inactivity, unlikely to be mafia since you would presume HHA would be active)
SmokinGunZ1981 (Same as above)

Of course these people lean towards the inactive side of the scales but freakzilla149 is the one that I'm the most curious about. What I'm thinking right now is that the HHA might be the somewhat active but not regular posters in the thread.

That is what bothers me , only because he did not post that much does not mean he is a Mafia player, his defense was good for what it was as he cant really do much, but going from "suspicious" to lets evict him in that short amount of time is more suspicious to me than not posting that frequently.

Interesting to see that the moment Kalor threw in Freakzillas name 10 minutes later he got voted on by SalvaPot
Works for me, Freakzilla seems like the best choice so far and he has yet to speak up. Lets get started then:

Right, I forget possibilities like that exist. I don't know a whole lot about the protecting/investigating. I guess I just didn't want them off the hook.

VOTE: freakzilla149

LaunchpadMcQ's vote does not stand out as much as it can be seen as bandwagoning, as he himself stated that.
Just pointing out some things that are strange to me as going for freakzilla and blaming him in that short amount of time seems like a mafia move to me.
Keep your minds open guys ! Dont try to stay on one target as this is what the mafia wants! blame someone and keep the grip on him just to ignore all the other players that could be interesting to us.
I just love this game :D

While I'm believing that evicting freakzilla would be a waste since he's probably not HHA, he is very erratic and belligerent and if we're just randomly choosing someone, I think he's as good a choice as any. Also, if he claims he's a normal villager, we wouldn't be losing much... I'm saying that with the full knowledge that that makes me more expendable, but I would like to think I'm not acting like a jerk. :/

Even so, I'm more afraid of that double standard than I am receptive to his belligerence.

I'll need to think on this some more.

Well, I just want to point out the odds are the HHA can't communicate during the day; it's not how mafia usually works and I think it's a good assumption to go off of, ruling out a special ability. I'm not sure if that was part of your point or not, but I wanted to point it out

Darryl has been pretty consistently pushing for the roomies or the center of the map for quite a few days now. Either that draws suspicion away from him suddenly flopping between the two, or he's been pushing for this for so long because he knows these squares are safe to vacate for the HHA.

Good lord what a mess.

Being antagonistic to one another isn't going to get us anywhere. It makes both of you guys look like scum, and that's bad for everyone (if you are indeed town).

We need to take a step back and think about this rationally. As far as I can tell, we have a few options.

1) Vote for freakzilla based on his erratic behavior.
2) Vote for the roomies to see what happens
3) Hold out and see if we can dig up anything else in the meantime

Considering we still have a couple days to make a choice, I'm going to wait on casting my vote. I realize freakzilla is playing really weird, but he doesn't necessarily strike me as HHA. As for the roomies, we'd just be taking a stab in the dark to see what happens.

And yes, HHA should be able to communicate during the day, considering last game. They are likely laughing at us right now.

At the end of the day if we still have nothing, and I hate to say this, but evicting the roomies might be the best option we've got...I still don't like the odds, though. At all.

I know that I'm flip flopping a lot but I'm starting to see freakzilla as a town member more than I was when I posted earlier. It seems very similar to the situation with egruntz in the last game and I don't want to evict a town member when it seems likely that they aren't HHA.

I noticed this at the time and didn't think much of it but it does stand out now that you mentioned it. I will say that I am not a member of the HHA so there is the potential that SalvaPot saw an opportunity to vote for someone when I posted my list and took it or Darryl saw a vote for Freakzilla and also voted with it. Of course this is all hypothetical right now. SalvaPot has been one of the biggest supporters of voting inactives so my list might of pushed them to vote.

My target was the roomies. I tried to get another discussion going about them just a little bit ago. I bandwagoned onto Freakzilla because of reasons mentioned. I'm all for going after the roomies if it doesn't wind up in a stalemate discussion again.

This defensive overreaction is insane. I mean calling me suspicious because I posted 14 minutes after someone else? I mean check the time stamps of the posts around there. We were all obviously co-lurking.

Trust me, I don't want to play it that way either. But, given the arguments that the roommates were not targeted on N1 by HHA, leads many to believe that either one of you are HHA or you were protected.

I lean towards that you were protected (or that the HHA decided against targeting you because they thought you'd be protected), but there is more simple argument against that: that HHA simply did not target you (the roommates) because one of you is HHA.

It's not a very compelling argument, but it's far better than anything else we have to go on now. I'm simply saying that if we have literally nothing else to go on by the end of today, evicting you guys would be our best option (and give us the most information back). But I realize it's a huge risk and I would want to avoid it if I could.

Not trying to paint either of you as HHA, just trying to suss out our best options if worse comes to worse and we have nothing more to go off by day's end.

Well, I am done pointing fingers for today. If anything evicting the roomies might be seen like making up for not evicting on the first night, but right now what we need the most is information and evicting the roomies is getting twice as much information...

But I do feel is a bad idea to evict them, I keep thinking there is a vital role with them.

I hate to agree in this, first days Mafia games are always tough since we have to trust our gut in most of our decisions but since the probabolity on one oft the roomies being Mafia is high its , aswell as the other one beging a strong towny makes this one "hopefully" out worst case vote if nothing else comes up.

So I'm in two minds about this, but we seem to be mostly talking in circles at this point so ah what the hell.

VOTE: HippieHobo

Now, just going to put it out there that I'm not close to being convinced he is HHA, but I don't really have any other suspicions right now. It basically boils down to the fact that he's claiming extreme inexperience (i.e. hadn't heard of the game before signups), asking a load of questions and flip-flopping because of it, so he's maintaining a presence, but one which isn't actually doing too much.

This could be completely genuine, which is making me kind of not want to do this because it seems like a massive dick move, but it could also be a strategy to make it seem legitimate.

I don't know. I really don't want to evict the housemates yet for the reasons I've stated before, so...yeah. There we go.

If this ends up catching on and it was legitimate inexperience, I'm super sorry dood D:

I'm willing to change my vote too. I'm just trying to keep the game moving. This is pretty fun. The only thing suspicious about Freakzilla has been the sudden defensive reaction, with Nin and such. For people who have been quiet and low key they sure got scared fast, and for each other.

They seem new and honestly not very crafty acting. Now:

1. They could be connected in the game somehow.

2. Unrelated but Nin could be scared he'd be next if we maintain this pattern of clearing the inactives.

3. HHA buddies.

I'm not convinced they are HHA, and if they are: props. And here we are, nothing. Let the roomies hang.

But not in friendship! Right?

Anyhow, I'm not quite sure what to make of all these so far. There's suspicious activity on both sides of the freakzilla/salva split, and it's hard to say which is worse. I'm going to make a list of "factions" (just people who are agreeing together a lot).

I still don't understand why you are so fixated in evicting us. What do you expect to gain with that move?

So far your reasons were:

1- They will give information with their eviction. (How????)
2- They will eventually so why not now. (The same can be said of all of us)

Neither of them seem like good, valuable reasons.

I just think that you and Ultron are either HHA or neutral parties, and I think it is more likely to be HHA because Mazre seems to have mannerisms of a neutral party.

Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
1- They will give information with their eviction. (How????)
Roles get revealed with evictions. We can see if ultron was really a Troublemaker or not (an ability that is quite neutral in the long run so it doesn't hurt to have it off the table), and your claimed role as well, if you really had one. Furthermore, a successful eviction will tell us if houses are indeed destroyed by evictions or if they can have some other fate. Your house is also the most unique out of all the houses so I wouldn't mind seeing what happens with that.

2- They will eventually so why not now. (The same can be said of all of us)
Because you're the biggest, most obvious target and it's strange that you aren't being targeted. You said as much yourself at the beginning of day 2. And I agree with the assessment that the reason your house wasn't targeted was because one of you is HHA. However, I don't want to evict you just yet because I'm interested in ultron's claimed ability (as well as yours, although you've been very vague on that front unlike ultron). Even if you're HHA, there's hardly anything you can do to save yourself in the long run, so why not keep one around? I'm not sure how ultron would feel about this, but it would be a good use of his ability to take you out and one other townie we're confident in in one move.

Which is to say, I'm almost certain one of you roomies is HHA and I'm only interested in keeping you two around for strategic reasons.
