Everyone who remotely liked (or was interested but never clicked with) the other Frogware Holmes titles should get this one. It's so much better than the older ones, and a lot of new gameplay stuff is super interesting.

For example, all cases seem to have like 3+ different possible deductions and you can actually send innocent guys to prison. The writing is much more interesting as well imho, things get good fast.

Disappointing :(
What? Why? No.
New XCOM is good news.

edit:
With the recent talk about image hosts and stuff, and how minus sucks ass these days, I just downloaded all my galleries from there. I haven't used it for anything new in a long while, but I figured I should check if I want to move any of these to a better place.

Yeah, I suspect I bought one of the very last keys, haha.

Evilly laughing at my demise. So cute, yet so cold-hearted.

Random protip- if you're using external hard drives and your location is prone to brown/blackouts- get a good UPS with battery backup and plug those bastards in. I was stupid, and I didn't migrate my drives to a power strip that I connected to my UPS. Had an outage this morning, and one of the drives is now disconnecting every half hour or so.

Post Tri-city Ciri search spoilers:
This "side dialog scene" in Kaer Moren bring together the best of what I love about / what I want in RPGs and the lack of recurring base convos that actually build your characters.

Lol wrong thread, but Witcher 3 despite still having open world problems nudging me in the stomache is still fantastic.

That what makes it more hilarious. The advice is to delay it to get it more polished\ add more content, which what lead DF to delay and split Broken Age into two acts - only for the end product to make people scratch their head and ask what the heck they used the money for and why it took so long.

I mean, explain to me how DF got 3.3M to make a game in the cheapest genre to make and still produced such a limited and thin game? When most RPG projects received LESS and created games on another stratosphere in terms of content and gameplay hours. Unreal.

The fact that pretty much the only genre to have benefited from crowdfunding in the greater sense (meaning the games are considered among the best in the genre and elicited comments such as 'this is what we meant all along when we talked about how good the 90's games were') is mindblowing. The most expensive genre to make, the most complex genre to write and code, the hardest genre to work around small and fluctuating budgets - and yet it's the only genre that excelled through crowdfunding across the board; while the P&C genre's best one by one fall flat on their face. HOW?

Sorry, went off-topic a bit there. But this reality is mystifying.

Those Kickstarter RPGs got money from elsewhere though. Divinity Original SIns Kickstarter was only for the polishing of the game for example.

Original Sin's total budget was 4M Euros, which is ~4.3M $, which is only 1M more than Broken Age got (which doesn't seem to include slacker backers). The gulf in content and time to play between the two games is way way way larger for a difference of 1M to make.

Wasteland 2 got 2.9M, PoE 3.9M, Shadowrun way less etc etc.

Haven't watched the DF documentary, but surely changing the scope isn't a good reason because every big successful project does so. What, San Francisco is all to blame?

The person running the NFS twitter account knows what he or she is dealing with and taking it in stride.

It's my birthday and I'm fairly drunk, so here's ten free keys of my game:

Happy belated birthday, Dascu. I hope your hangover isn't too bad.
