Show us your gaming setup: 2015 Edition

This is such an inspiring thread. I just know I'm going to drop $500 on new shelving and tables this weekend :)

Question: where do you guys buy all those cool figures and models from? I'm not really a collector type of person, but would love a Robocop, or ED-209. Or something Halo related.

Also, wall art. Retro game posters, regular art, where to buy from? I'm toronto based i.e. The centre of the universe in Canada ( so pretty much anything is available - just need to be pointed in the right direction).

Has been a while since posting my setup, moved in the meantime so here is my new place.

First of all excuse the poor quality of the desk shot, took that with my mobile and well, didn't tidy up. Whatever.

I do game primarily at my desk but i have my PC hooked up to my 60" TV as well.

In case anyone is wondering why my center channel is placed so low, that actually is my subwoofer.

holy shit

Thanks for the positive feedback, glad you guys like it.

So you do not have a center speaker?

That's true, it's a 2.1 System.

Room acoustics have proven tricky enough with 3 speakers, i'm glad i got that almost sorted. Wouldn't want to fiddle with 4/6 Speakers again anytime soon. My phantom center works great as it is, i usually sit right in the sweet spot.

Well, because it just sits there for charging anyway and my splitter is right behind the right speaker. It was the most logical and practical place to put it. (It got no wires you know)

Is something wrong with that? You can't imagine how confused i am by that question.

I'm in germany if that matters, i think most americans have them hanging on the kitchen wall or some other weird place no? Lol

I should have explained it a bit more, it'd drive me nuts having it in my line of sight while watching a movie etc and it ringing/flashing. Love the setup though.

Ohhh thats why. Okay, i can perfectly understand. I used to tape all power leds of my devices in the front because of that. But now that i have a 2 year old daughter a blinking phone is the least of my problems when watching a movie. But usually my wife has that thing (the phone that is) glued to her head or hidden somewhere anyway.

Co-sign on taping LEDs, why they are ever on/bright as the sun while the device is on is beyond me. I'm sure if I had kid it would put the whole distraction of a phone into perspective.

If you're in Toronto, you should hit up Silver Snail. I haven't been in eons, so I don't know if they have much in the way of art work, but figures and collectibles for sure.

What is behind the TV..? Or what is the TV mounted to? Looks like some type of framing or cable hiding tubes?

Your Wii magically disappeared between shots! ;)

Yeah I was using it earlier today. I've haven't decided if I want to put it away permanently or keep it out still.

Mainly for emulators and homebrew and Gamecube games. I didn't tamper with the virtual Wii nand on my Wii U. So I keep my old Wii around and use it every now and then.

To be perfectly honest. Having my PC hooked up to my HDTV and using Higan and other demanding emulators, kind of makes emulation pointless on my old Wii, so I don't know why I still keep it around. I mainly just keep it around for Gamecube stuff still.

Besides, I don't think it's really safe to have consoles stacked on top of each other like that. I don't have much space to utilize.

Even if I removed the cardboard box of my most played games, there still isn't enough space on the one dresser for it.

I also have a working Slim PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox not in these pictures.

I can't wait to when I move out of this confined apartment and into a house and setup my stuff in a new entertainment center. When that I happens I'll take some new pictures.

some of yall soundbars look sexy, i have a panasonic plasma tv and was wondering do i have to get a soundbar of the same brand or are they all compatable with any brand tv?

After a flood, gutting half the room, replacing and rebuilding, it's finally in it's finished form. Just have to get one more art piece above the left front speaker.

Sorry for the dimness of the panoramic pics, the room is pained an eggshell black (walls and ceiling) and was taking off camera phone.

Here is an awesome gift I received for speaking at an event:

And here is the latest addition to the room. The wall looks badass IRL:

All I got for the Vernal Equinox was this stupid tag
Well, I would argue that my setup is a good blend of personality and slickness ;)

I would argue that it's kind of hard to tell from the quality of your photos! :p Can you do a retake? What's that giant NES cart thing btw?

Will try to get some shots later tonight with my SLR. That cart is a pillow! The name of the game is Unicorn's Revenge :)

I like this one, thumbs up! I was also going to ask where you got that tv stand but it looks like it's Germany only :(

Do the headphone cord reach all the way to the couch? Thats a great setup.

Thanks for the nice feedback :)

Yes, it´s pretty long. I have an extension too.
But most of the time I use them with Astro Wireless Mixamp.

It was really hard to find a good tv stand.

Man, my girlfriend and I were in countless furniture stores.... :D

When you have so many electronic devices it´s pretty tough to find the right one.

That projector is absolutely amazing. Seriously. Color, contrast, blacks, low latency. AMAZING.

Perhaps I missed it in your OP, but do you mind sharing the Manufacturer/Model for the projector and screen?

My wife and I just bought a new house and I have a room that looks roughly the same size as yours that I would like to setup as a gaming/theater room.

Thats satined acryllic glass on u-profiles with custom led backlight. That way the backlight doesnt light up the entire wall/room, just the acryllic which spreads the light pretty smooth.
