The only reason I can think of for DLC characters not getting customs is to get them out quicker.

I like the stylized render, but he looks a little weird next to the likes of Mario IMO. To be fair, Snake is even more out of place.

There's a bunch of kirby music and 3DS's stages only get 2 songs so Wii U gets them.
And I think the Fountain of Dreams theme was added which makes me think we're not ever getting the stage back

On the Wii U, Dreamland 64 has Fountain of Dreams as a song

The only songs on the 3DS are the Air Ride forest area remix and the original N64 Dreamland song. Everything else is Wii U exclusive.

But metroid is Nintendo do it's fine. Who needs tonality when the company is the same. In seriousness I agree though, people who bring up what fits and what doesn't. Don't even seem to understand the point of a crossover in some ways. Since the fact that two radically different things can become one is part of the appeal.

Now I really want Snake since we have Ryu, Pacman, Sonic and Mega Man all in the same game. Its unreal Nintendo/Sakurai was able to get all of these 3rd parties to fit in these game so well.

Actually the initial leak revealing him came only a couple days after the Smash Direct aired, meaning the fighter ballot had only been available for 1-2 days. Thus meaning these two were planned far in advance, probably before the game's launch.

I don't think we'll get details on the fan-voted characters until Fall at the earliest.

Thanks for this list - I didn't know there were this many unused songs! I'm definitely getting more hopeful that the Rhythm Heaven songs aren't for Miiverse and may very well be pointing toward upcoming RH content.
