When people think Caribbean they think Jamaican.
Can't even be mad

But hell no if DJ ain't good then no, West Indians should get a godlike character not some gimmick king!

I demand top quality.

that's gonna be a lonely riot...
one man riot b
the way i see it Deejay represents the Caribbean.
Yea, and Rufus represents America and Birdie the UK.

Any DMC news? I honestly felt like there were so many announcements on the first E3 where I payed little to no attention to besides SF5.
No Capcom news period. The only thing out of DMC at E3 were a bunch of interesting interview details from the director of the series. Basically his design philosophies on the series. It was kind of a big deal because he rarely ever comes out or gives his opinion on the series so it was nice for the fans to know what makes him tick.

Have you talked to Bish about getting that fixed?
Not gonna PM any mods anymore.

We're gonna be chatting about SFV roster for years now, if we really are gonna get several seasons of DLC content.

I think fat Birdie pretty much eliminates all hope of Rufus (not that there was much) so I am hoping for Urien
in a suit
.

Juri's pretty much guaranteed, right? Her U1 is already a V-Trigger.

People don't even remember Dominicans. SolarPowered, RockTurtle, where mah bros at?!

So sfv beta is only for NA pre-orders. Outside for NA you have to submit an application for the chance for getting in...

http://shoryuken.com/2015/06/18/global-street-fighter-v-beta-details-released-no-automatic-entry-outside-north-and-south-america/

Outside gotta hold dat L sadly. South America gets a chance though.

I def don't think cammy needs a great v trigger. She has all kinds of fucking tools anyhow. Like she is the only char i seen link from lights into a heavier button. Not all chars need to use the systems equally.

yeah. i think it will end up being pretty strong though because people will surely find v-trigger setups/mixups that practically guarantee opening up the opponent.

Two button dash is a trap in Marvel, too, since dashing and pushblocking have the same input in that game. It has never been a problem that you can fool someone into dashing and punish them as a result. In SFV, back dashes aren't invincible, either, so it doesn't seem like people will be dashing out at close range, regardless. Why no let people eat the frame trap?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm only just ambivalent with that aspect of Marvel or Skullgirls. It works, but I just think it's less elegant than pushblocking in VSav, where the offender is at risk of eating a poke from the defender's mash if they just hang in there without frame trapping/whiff punishing. At least in the former examples, you still have to chase a backdash or keep pressure tight though.

In SF, I'm imaging baiting the new Alpha Counters that way, which would just look like a goofy forward dash that gets reacted to with an opener of the attacker's choosing... for doing nothing but sit there and wait, or, worse, for dropping an input so their blockstring didn't complete.

I was born on the damned island and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to Jamaica.

Why not just let them be faster paced, and develop around that?

I'm inclined to agree, and if I were developing my own FG I'd likely two button dashes as well - but not if I were developing a SF game. It's partially a legacy thing and partially the fact that not every FG needs to be fast paced (even though that's the direction they seem to be largely going in).

There was no beech in Jamaica because they knew they'd make no money. :E
No Cubans here? For shame I have to be the lone Jamaican and Cuban rep in FG Gaf :(

Is there a confuzzled gif? I need one.

I really wish tech hits in vsav were like 4 inputs instead. Maybe that'd make them too good tho I dno.
You can't make the current tech hits any better than they are without fundamentally their properties (they push farther away or something similar). What you can do is learn how to guard cancel, but you are somewhat SOL if your character has a shitty guard cancel or none at all.

Can you help me better understand how VSav pushblock is different from Marvel pushblock?

I saw a guy dash across the screen with Ryu in the journalist's tournament, and it was honestly faster than a significant number of Marvel characters.

yo real talk,

i didn't know deejay was a charge character until SSF4
Never played SSFII?

BOOM BAH!

was Shidoshi from egm invited to the editor's tourney?
Yeah, and she did pretty well. Lots of smart decisions, but had trouble with the timing.

and a Carribean stage would be dope tbh. I want another Carribean character, don't care what Island they're from.

Rolando told me one time that his reason for visiting Capcom HQ in Japan was to discuss funding for putting a St. Maarten beach stage in the game.
