I don't understand the reason for the raid. This case is already 2 months old. If there was or is any CP at Jared's then there was plenty of time to destroy it.
Since the case is 2 months old, why didn't the prosecutor just ask for permission to search? I bet Jared and his lawyer would have said yes if he's innocent. They could have handled this quietly but chose not to.
I wouldn't. Again, if your only reason to search my house is "well, you had a shit employee", you can fuck right off. If there's evidence of financial malfeasance, then they can pursue that separately and write up the warrant around that charge.
Of course, Jared may be running his foundation out of his house, which could be the complication, and it's a big damn underline about why you're not really saving yourself money by running a major business out of your home.
