You could always flash it too and have a really cheap but well made Android tablet. I flashed my OG Kindle Fire. Worked great, still does but I rarely if iever use it.

I want a surface but all I need is a tablet for streaming videos and browsing the web. So might take this deal or whatever they have for the next best kindle fire

AFAIK that type of shit doesn't fly anymore with the Kindle line after Amazon started locking bootloaders.

Hence why Kindle Fire sales cratered after the second generation and why Amazon stopped competing spec wise by having great specs at a low price and now focus on undercutting everyone with decent but not great specs at a incredibly low price.

All of the good sales have from Newegg/Tiger Direct typically. The GTX 970's barely go on sale and when they do the sales aren't that great. The lowest I can see it going for on Amazon is maybe $275-$280.

cowboom is your friend if you don't mind used. It can be a bit of a gamble but cowboom has yet to let me down from ps4s, wii us, to pcs.

I just picked up a used asus q302la for $299. Looks barely used. I love this thing, way faster than my old laptop was and it works great as a tablet.
