It only starts going low quality after the Water 7/Enies Lobby arc. However the Thriller Bark, Amazon lily, Impel Down, and Saboedy arc were good.

Then again I feel like the anime really went to shit after the timeskip.

Post-timeskip One Piece was a bit weaker in general.

Dressrosa is a return to form and the anime does a good job imo

Then I'll just read the manga and I suppose just watch fights I care like I did with Naruto, also movies and specials as you guys said, I miss my dose of fights with powers now that JoJo ended : (

I think I watched about 30 episodes of One Piece before losing interest (mostly due to the pacing) back in the day.

I do plan on going back and continuing it until like episode 300 or something though one of these days though. That's apparently the last time the anime was good IIRC from what I've heard.

is there a similar video with somebody that isn't trying to be AVGN?

Not that I'm aware of, but there is this very rambling review of the game.

Lots of otome games (and BL games while we're talking about games aimed at girls) have pushover protagonists and "heroines" (dudes to make out with) that are abusive or borderline abusive but Diabolik Lovers deserves special notice for being as messed up as it is with only a 15+ rating.

So Crunchyroll finally added God Eater, awww yeah, I'll finally be able to watch it.

Right now I feel that I should start watching One Piece but I'm not so sure, I mean, I have 7XX episodes to catch, that's way too much. But if it is as fun as HxH then I would totally watch it.

If you follow a no-filler one piece menu you'll have WAY LESS episodes to watch.
And yeah OP is fun

Holy shit, Andre's voice. This script. It's perfect.
Loved the Mad Max Fury Road reference as well.

Diabolik Lovers 01-02

I wanted to see how bad it was. You guys weren't joking. Not going to bother with the rest, the whole thing feels creepy.

It is my duty to tell every One Piece hopeful this -

Please, please save yourself some time and skip the anime. It's notoriously low quality and is an exercise in stretching out the time slot. The manga will take you 1/10th the time and has far better art.

Skipping the anime means missing out on the march on Arlong Park, though.

I'd say it's at least worthwhile to watch up through Skypiea in the anime. After that, the manga is really the only choice.

Initially, I was a little iffy on the 4 episode arcs to tell these stories, but they play out as short movies and are pretty well written. In this Kaoru arc, it was good to see a childhood friend actually getting some love for once. On top of that, the sceneries are pretty well played out and depict realistic romance and relationship moments. Good stuff.
Oh, it was a bellybutton kiss this time. I'm sensing a theme for odd first kisses, lol.

:)

Glad you are liking it.

.....Emma: A Victorian Romance write-up........

Thanks for getting me on this, just steamrolled s1 in 2 days, pretty refreshing with no 'anime' shenanigans going on

Holy shit at that review. Pretty much how I would summarize the first 15 mins of the anime ; rape/abuse culture garbage.

Told you it's trash, lol. I couldn't stomach it and I can look past most things..

I wish we got more anime in this format tbh, seeing different routes with all of the girls separately in a Visual Novel style.

Yeah the faces are certainly anime but there's no sky pan 'eeeehhhhh?!?!'s, lol misunderstandings, Forehead vein #'s, sweat drops,'b-baka!', shiny/blush cheeks/knees, tsundere, fanservice, pandering, etc

It prob. wont set your world on fire ( Emma can be a bit dull until more of her background is revealed later, methodical pacing at times) but both seasons are legally on Youtube via Right Stuffs Nozomient channel so it's easy to start watching

It's interesting how the keep all the other characters in the stories even if there is no direct interactions with the MC. The format reminds me of the special character arcs added for Tomoyo and Kyou ar the end of season 1&2 of Clannad.

Emma: A Victorian Romance is essentially an animated version of a British period drama you'd see on PBS/BBC, so if you like that sort of thing you should definitely seek it out. Kaoru Mori, the original manga author, is very talented and has a strong fascination with 19th century Britain (as well as other foreign historical settings, given the subject matter of A Bride's Story).

I liked Amagami a lot because it actually felt like a visual novel. Everyone got to see the protagonist go for their favourite girl and each one had a very different story. Gimme a 3rd season Amagami, or a show like it and I'll be all over it.

Humanty has Declined 12 END

So I decided to just wrap this up not on any schedule because fuck that.

It was alright. Solid series. I thought it would be better based on how much people seem to like it. I liked the parts where it was Watashi and the faeries and the manga episodes, stuff outside of that was kind of hit-and-miss.

Teekyu 01

the fuck is this

Ha I really liked this show myself. The romance was really sweet for every arc and felt very natural in comparison to other anime love stories.

So I watched the next four episodes of Space Cobra and man this show is fantastic. These episodes had the perfect balance of comedy, drama, action and tragedy and I'm hard-pressed finding any flaws at all. First things first, the art-style continues to impress in typical Dezaki fashion. As with all of Dezaki's series, Hirokata Takahashi takes care of the cinematography here and and it's very apparent. Many different camera angles are used in order to manipulate the viewers sense of space and orientation and a great sense of lighting is used in order to add atmosphere to each and every frame. The visuals are amazing.
Character designs are something I don't talk about too much but Akio Sugino does a fantastic job designing characters that you care about. They grab your attention from the first moment you lay your eyes upon them. The girls look voluptuous and beautiful while the villains are all inspired and visually interesting and menacing outside of the grunts who are cannon fodder but still even they have great moments as they get pulverized by the man named Cobra. Akio Sugino is without a doubt one of my favorite character designers of all time and Cobra reminds me just why I feel that way. Legend of the Galactic Heroes? He did the character designs. Black Jack? Cat's Eye? Ashita no Joe? Rose of Versailles? Add Space Cobra to that list.
Kentaro Haneda composes the score here yet again, and man what a stunner it is. A delight for the ears. A phenomenal pianist and a genius, his soundtrack doesn't disappoint. And as I've stated a few times, the OP and ED are probably the greatest out there. The voice of Youko Maeno sends shivers down my spine each and every time I hear it. Truly in love.
Each of these four episodes had me laughing at Cobra's antics helped by his charming and lovable voice. Nachi Nozawa did a fantastic job with the voice. Tears were also shed and really the show is just amazing and I really can't get enough. And of course, each episode has ample action. The whole thing really does remind me of City Hunter
I really can't wait to watch more. The one thing I don't like about Space Cobra is it's almost too good.

I posted a lot of pictures. Do people mind when I do so? Sometimes I post no images, sometimes a few and sometimes I do a lot so I like to go back and forth but I hope that it doesn't piss people off haha.

Just getting that back to your apartment would seem like an ordeal.
You must have a much bigger bed than I do.

I guess the point is to wrap it around you
which is a pretty good idea

I don't mind, but at least put two per row so you can cut your post length in half.

Haha, genuinely if you don't like it when I do it just let me know, I don't bite :)

Thanks, I just find it hard to restrain myself when the show looks this good. I only posted like two pics in my Angel's Egg review, that was ballsy on my behalf, such an amazing looking film, what a waste D:

I don't know why I never think of that, I just did that now. Does it look better? :)

The One Piece anime has a special place in my heart, but I don't know if I can really recommend it anymore, especially post time-skip. There's a lot great about it both due to the strength of its source material as well as its solid soundtrack and voice cast and some genuinely good scenes that elevate the source material. Unfortunately, there's also a lot crappy about it, from the poor pacing (which gets abysmal later on) to the (generally) sub-standard animation and art.

I'd say decide for yourself if you want to check out the anime based on that, but I would recommend the manga in a heartbeat. Just know it takes a bit to get going.

Images are fine, as long as you put them in quotes and don't go overboard with them. My feeling is that pictures should generally be confined to one or two if you have nothing specific to say about them; once you start posting much more than that each picture should have a purpose and be accompanied by text using that picture to say something about the show, whether it be its cinematography, its art, a character moment, or something of that sort. I'm not fond of the common anime blog format where someone will blab about an episode for a while and then dump 30 random shots from the episode at the end. I recall ABF made a post here once where he threw in a truckload of pictures in the middle of an excessively detailed summary of the last episode of some harem show. That was annoying.

Duly noted. I try to add text to supplement the screens but sometimes I could do a little more to tie it all together. Will keep that in mind. Thanks.
