Typical duckroll, pushing his CG agenda.

on that note:

binged the whole cour today and it was quite enjoyable. I wouldn't call it great by any means, but definitely enjoyable.

the SOL parts are a bit hit or miss, but the fights are consistently fun. It really isn't often when CG in an anime is done better than the 2d drawn parts (seriously the CG work in this is freakishly great)

I also really like how (with the exception of a few scenes) they kept it to a 2d real world and a CG fight world, practically eliminating the disconnect you tend to see with CG in anime.

The use of 2d smoke with explosions in the CG fights was smart of them.

Not sure i'd actually wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone though, though if you wanna see CG in anime done right and want to see some fun fights and a fun cast of characters, I'd say give it a watch.

Oh that's much easier to understand. They're either the kind to unironically post Minion meme's or the kind that obsess over Nickelodeon tween shows.

And what about us adults who thought it was a good movie, don't obsess over it, and don't fall under "that" group?

Western cartoons were ruined when Shrek 2 broke records tbh.

I'm questioning if this imply's Shrek 2 is a bad movie or not...

Wreck-It-Ralph is better than both however.

Nah.

Actually, I think it's funny how all the recent big Disney animated films pander to different audiences. Frozen is for girls and a subversion of the Disney Princess genre. Wreck-It-Ralph is for gamers and is a celebration of nostalgia. Big Hero 6 is for boys and Disney-fies the superhero comic genre. Something for everyone I suppose!

Unless you like traditional animation.

and Inside Out is for the adults with young children who took them to see the above films
It's a very emotional film targeted to parents
