SO how is the dub for Prison School anyway?

It reminds me of their Panty and Stocking dub. It adds jokes and makes Andre even more of a joke character with his voice, but it shockingly works. The USC actresses are decent as well. Hana is spot on.

How about you show their unconditional acceptance by letting them have sex the normal way? I mean it's just so unnecessary.

I think that'd run contrary to the scene's intention of showing their strange relationship being counterbalanced by unconditional acceptance if it was necessary to frame it in a more socially acceptable manner (I.e. comfortable for the viewer.) People are free to feel how they do though and if certainly be creeped out if he was some sort of giant insect in this case. It certainly evokes a reaction one way ilor the other though.

Just saw Wolf Children again, and I always get freaked out during the love making scene.
Why Mr. Hosoda.

Should I even look forward to The Boy and The Beast.

There's no scene like that in The Boy and The Beast.

Maybe that's why it's not as good.

He was telling a sorry about motherhood, it goes without saying that he feels it is important to show where babies come from!

100% furry.

Fuck anime. Fuck its obsession for resetting character arcs to square one. Fuck everone who likes this narrative structure. Fuck everything.

Onto the next episode of Dragon Ball Z...

I (light spoilers I guess)
wouldn't say that's the case here. Keep watching.

Drifters has a much better staff list than I expected. Guess Hirano wants that Ultimate quality from the getgo this time.

This looks pretty cool. I love the shit eating grins that was in hellsing ultimate.

Blood Elves suck

I thought you were cool man

holy shit. Might have to watch this. Was the first Garo any good?

Garo is one of my favorite shows from last year/this year. The second cour is especially great. Hope the BDs makes it over here.
edit: fights are pretty cool (sound on)

Hopefully my hodgepodge of garbage sales was of use last night although peoples attention was probably aimed elsewhere, for obvious reasons. What can you do eh?

I thought the TV series was 47 episodes?

I don't know why I wrote 51 <_< I guess I had City Hunter on the mind. It was 4am damn it I have an excuse D: Yes it's 47.

Anyway, I'm halfway through the series and I still like the movie timeline a lot more. Yes, main reason being the OVA & Movies have better production values, as well as Oshii's direction. The kinda random low-stake stories in the series don't interest me as much and there isn't enough humor to carry the story when it doesn't have good drama or conflict. Not that it doesn't - one of the episodes I like the most is the one in which Noa & Kanuka got into an argument and the whole SV2 go out to drink in order to sort their difference, since it has some good character-building moments as well as humor. I just wish there was more of those instead of Patlabor monster of the week fair, because the former is what endeared me with the franchise in the first place.

I mean, both timelines are brilliant, and Patlabor is Patlabor so there's nothing really wrong with that. For what it's worth the two films are probably my favorite anime films of all time. The TV series and The New Files OVA have a lot more variety however. I absolutely loved it and it's THE quintessential Patlabor series. The monster of the week vibe thins out as times goes on and you get more episodes like the one you described which like you said is the best part. All I can say is enjoy the ride and don't overthink it, and by that I mean don't start getting negative vibes that might sully the rest of the show, just have faith in it, just trust me :)

Because if you don't...

Classroom Crisis 07

Apparently our kids who have zero experience in Economics are able to reduce their expenses by 70%, this is stupid, obviously. If all of this could be solved by just one night of brainstorming you'd wonder why Corporate wouldn't just send someone who knows how to handle a budget to A-Tec, kinda ruins the premise this whole show was built on.

Anyway, this all sounds super dull probably, and hey, that's because the first part of the episode was boring, fortunately something happened around the halway-point.

Yeah... that was something else....

So after the first fight our heroes needed to take over a cockpit, this was kind of an odd scene since they needed to call in backup from the class who were still on Mars, the point of it was that Nagisa (our antagonist) helped them out a bit making him a good guy even though they only sent a map of the spacecraft, didn't really seem like some big deal or anything but they now like him.

After this they took control of the spacecraft, but oh no! this happened

Some guy tried to kill our main heroes even though they only wanted to kidnap them or something, don't see why they would bother straight up killing them, also breaking the glass of the spaceship is a pretty big risk to take no? It actually did break but luckily they were able to hold on to the wall, the vacuum of space is beaten again!

I really don't know what this show is trying to be at this point, it literally tries to pander to every group out there but for some reason everything they try is excecuted so horribly that it is just plain bad. The show has kids who can make spaceships, that's a pretty awesome premise right? Why couldn't they have done something fun with it, why does this even exist, I was glad to see that this show isn't selling well.

I'm going to leave you guys with some of the wonderful, complex and deep character interaction between all of these well written characters

Next episode is going to be a school festival

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.

Loses the impact, I think.

He wants to show you how absolutely uncomfortable this would be from a normal person's point of view. If he just stayed human except when he turned into a wolf for ~drama~, it'd be Twilight.

I'm cringing so hard because it is so true.

I swear this second season has been so fucking amazing. The drama in it feels so much more human and real than the original series or even the 1st season's ever was. Every character has been getting their moment in the sun to shine and I've been enjoying every moment in it.

While I still dislike Anzu being typical 'older loli' I've grown to like her personality, that despite how extremely lazy she it, she'll always raise to the moment and is actually willing to help people.

Idols sure have a lot of flexibility here. You don't expect idols to be talking about the weather, but that's what Akari did. I suppose they're not that different when you break it down to the basics. Meanwhile Sumire gets a surprisingly strong episode considering I've been lukewarm on her thus far. There's always a conundrum to solve when you're wishes clash with the industry's vision of you. Luckily for her, Sumire has plenty of freedom to choose her path.

Ushio to Tora - 07

Great episode. Didn't expect to see a fight between those two, nor the dad being so skilled. Happy to see it seems to be moving on to the meat of the story. Tora's silly expressions kills me every time.

Tokyo Ghoul Production Committee:
Marvelous
TC Entertainment
Pierrot

Marvelous's CEO is the top executive producer; it's up to him to decide to make more/less.

Yeah, I realise they aren't going to stop anytime soon. I'm 100% sure there will also be a TG:re adaption.
It's just sad when you like the manga and then they rush through 60 chapters in a single cour, cutting entire arcs, completely butchering the characters and turn it into a generic edgy action shonen. And it's double sad they are actually successful with it and keep churning out more butchered material. Ugh.

The last Pixar movie I saw was The Incredibles, not seen any that came out after that :( Their movies look amazing, and The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc and Finding Nemo are three of my favorite films of all time, animated or otherwise. I just never got around to picking the later ones up. That mid 2000's period was basically me saying "I'll pick up a Blu-ray player any moment now and buy them all and watch them" but I never got around to doing so. The last Walt Disney Animation studios film I saw was Tangled, not seen any after that. #Shame
