Well, if they are going to have a voting system, then free votes wouldn't make much sense. They would be easily abused.
It wouldn't make much sense for 'votes' from western PSN to count towards a game that is currently Japan/Asia exclusive.

I'm alright with most of that but Mila not rating higher is unfortunate. There's an acceptable "adjustment" to the game in the west right there: getting Mila in.

Nyotengu and Marie Rose on top 9, glad to see people know which are the better new girls ^_^. I was sure that Marie Rose would make top 9 easy but was afraid that Nyotengu, who is my main character, would be left out.
What a beautiful top 2, as expected of my Japanese brethren, really sad Mila isn't higher though

Hardcore DOA fans are pretty brutally monetized at this point. I kind of expect this game to be at least as bad as DOA5. Maybe at least it will let you cross buy your saucy outfits?

I think Tina being missing from a DOA game is ridiculous (Personally also prefer Mila and Lisa over the rest of the list as well, but Tina for DOA veteran status)
my top 9 list would even compromise and keep Tengu in there, but boo to the list at the moment

I can't help but think that this "vote by buying" thing is just a big marketing stunt and that they'll have a change of heart when the game comes out and include all the ladies, to maximize sales. I have no proof, that's just what it feels like.
I thought I read somewhere that there were only 3-4 actual body types for the girls and they just modified them a bit for each character. Seems silly to only include 9.

I think DOA fans are getting good prices on their dlc. If you think these dlc prices are bad, look at riot and Blizzard and most western dlc models.

To be fair to them, IIRC DoA5 vanilla didn't have any DLC characters either. So, I guess we can expect DoAX3 Ultimate Beach Party Edition or something somewhere down the line. Why stop at DLC when you can make fans buy the game multiple times?
Yeah. I figured they'd just cut to the chase with this, but like you say, why? They can follow the same path as DOA5 and do DLC (swimsuits in this case) a re-release, put out an F2P version, followed by yet another re-release and fans will buy it all.
And if they hold back some characters to start they don't have to struggle with additions later.
