Dragon Age: Inquisition |OT2| Leave the damn Hinterlands!

Damn, that inquisitor was pissed.

Also one of my favourite lines "Can one thing in this bloody world just stay fixed"

Also Qunari invasion? I'm regretting a choice I made in the game now.

Can't see the trailer yet but it sounds interesting. Still wondering how they'll fit all this in a DLC without it feeling cramped.

Yeah, we'll see I guess. Citadel DLC for Mass Effect ended up around 15 hours for me so it was basically a mini-expansion. Maybe they'll go out in a blaze of glory like that here.

So...I'm level 8 & I put about 18 hours in. Doing all of the side quests, reading books, mining materials and "weeding" all in the Hinterlands. Is this normal to still be in this Zone or should i have moved on at this point?

So was Descent worth the 15$? I liked Jaws of Hakkon a lot, but I heard Descent was not as big. Excited as hell about finally getting post-game story DLC.

People say to leave Hinterlands when you can but you really don't need to unless you're getting bored, play it how you want.
I tend to just finish everything in Hinterlands before moving on to the story stuff.

I had to give up playing Jaws of Hakkon on hard I could not beat the guards at the temple. I rushed to finish the game on hard to get the trophy then reloaded and reduced the difficulty.

8 is about the right time for a Hinterlands break since some areas jump up to level 12.

For someone who's not keen on buying a PS4/XB1 any time soon, is the PS3 version still uhhh... playable? Seeing different opinions throughout online but they all complained about nasty loading times (over a minute between scenes)

I enjoyed Dragon Age 2 on the PS3 from a technical perspective since Orgins is just so choppy that I decided to stop playing, funny how most publications at that time favored the PS3 version while the 360 one had much better framerate throughout. How is DA:I on last gen compare to those two games?

My plan is to snag a copy of DA:I on PS3 when it's really cheap, I just really don't see myself moving on to current gen when my backlog is still huge, oh and of course, money is a bit of a problem too.

I love this game and sad they are finishing up further development on the game. I can't wait for the next one.

It's Mass Effect's turn now and I am looking forward to playing that soon.

PS3 won't have the DLC. Go PC/current gen or go home.

That's the way I see it. If they apply the lessons from this game to that franchise it should be quite good.

The new patch is live on PS4.

I have it downloaded and I have the wardrobe and I assume the Golden Nug will be there when I go post game.

My Inquisitor is strutting around Skyhold in the Night Watch outfit.

Have you tried downloading the latest mod manager? v0.58? That's what fixed my mods with the latest patch.

When was it released?

edit: Fuck?

Looking at the trophy list for the new DLC trying to get an idea what it will be about but leave me with more questions than answers.

I won't post them all but one is get to Skyhold before reaching level 5.

That might be a new achievement for the base game.
Laidlaw said Skyhold won't reappear in Trespasser.

Re: the trophy list.

Of the 11, over half read like references to new gameplay modes. In fact only one expressly seems to pertain to the plot of Trespasser.

So I bought and played this finally.

Part of the reason I wasn't that active recently.

First play through was 143 hours. All maps cleared of active quests. Second play through, realizing there were quite a few that I'd missed. Level 25 Elf Rogue. Most trophies received. Haven't played on higher difficulties yet.

A very... simplified... RPG.

That isn't a knock. In some ways it feels similar to a Zelda title now. And even though I'll miss the DAO style... I really don't hate what they've built. They're doing what they do best, turning the role-playing into your dialog more than combat, with fun and interesting characters.

I really like the majority of this cast.

The overarching story isn't exactly all that special. It isn't bad, and some of the big plot twists were fun and make sense in a way. Well... one of them at least.

I'm enjoying it. But only scratched the surface. I won't know how much I love it until I've spent at least six hundred hours with it.

So i just loaded Inquisition up for the first time in quite some time and it downloaded some patches. Load up the game and its the regular title screen. Then it flips the WHOLE SCREEN into some giant ad for "MP WEEKEND!" garbage.

Are you kidding me? I know before they cluttered the title screen with an ugly pop up block ad for MP events but now they just have the entire title screen background as an MP event ad? Jesus Christ BioWare, yes, I get it, you want me to play your multiplayer. No, I still don't care at all about it.

I'm finding new stuff 440hrs in. >.>

I honestly don't see how. It's not that big.

I only now just found the codex from Hakkon that asserts
there are no actual elven gods. Just two warring factions with the losers being forgotten hinting at them being the Forgotten Ones and the winners like Andriul reigning as the "gods" of elven society..

Oh yeah I remember that one, that was pretty good. Was worth it that time after having to get all of those shards lol. I mean, it was already implied from Solas, but reading it from the other side of the coin was neat.

There's also lyrium being
Titan's blood implying that all magic in a sense is blood magic.

DA:I was my first time playing as a mage since I rolled warrior in DA:O and I'm not really into DA2 (only played it once as a warrior as well), but I hope they bring blood mage spec back. Would be cool if they do any follow through with consequences of
who you got as Divine/Valta from Descent and her weird "I am puuuuuure." stuff.
I never get my hopes up for stuff carrying over, but who knooooows. Then again, since all signs point to Tevinter, it won't even matter who you got in the end since they're all about that anyways and have their own version of beliefs.

BioWare choice imports never really change the game state. At most, they just give you alt-dialogue or new quests (the werewolf quest in DA2 is still one of their best import reactions).

This isn't bad, but you should know by now that BW choices don't really mean much to the structure of the game.

Yeah I know, that's why I said I don't expect it. At most I ever expect is an off handed mention or a codex so I'm never really disappointed when something or someone doesn't show up tbh. My message prob came off as someone who really hopes for it but actually I'm one of those people who wishes BioWare would stop shoving in characters from past games for the sake of making everyone happy and spend their time enhancing other areas.

Bioware choices- like choices in Witcher affect the lore and the base setting which is frankly okay since the Mass Effect team tried to work in more significant choices and went off the fucking deep end in 3.

I'm quite enjoying the Descent DLC. Dull as it has been in the previous games the whole concept of the Deep Roads has always been fascinating to me. The DLC scratches that itch quite nicely.

Just hope the last one tops these two and gives us a bit more meat around the story-bone.

If anything this cemented my opinion of Inquisition being the best of the three DA games.
