I still don't know if I should get Cold Steel for PS3 or Vita.
I'm leaning Vita but the performance problems are worrying :/
Afaik, there are no performance problems at all and both version are basically the same.
Though, I've seen the game on PS3 and, graphically, it looks pretty rough, especially outside.

The obvious question is why don't you use a regular Vita?
Because it's 7" and the Vita is 5". But I'm not sure a slightly bigger screen is worth enough for slightly worse performance.

Yep, sorry, should've said UK! Wonder why there's nothing showing for the UK yet. :/
I got news for you

I don't care about the graphics at all, I care more about performance and loading times

DekaVita 7 is a thing to make you PSTV portable. Imported at about $200. Tempting if I had money to burn.

It aint worth picking up as its still in the prototype phase from all the various issues it has. Some more serious than others.

Its far better to use as a mini screen for the PS3 more than trying to use it as a Vita with a larger screen.

Why? I haven't followed the KS that much so I don't know about any potential issues with it.

It's just my oppinion, and that they're probably - and I say probably, but am pretty sure - going to reuse old and really bad fan translations instead of what they advertise on their kickstarter.

We're assembling a joint task force to tackle this. A mix of dedicated fan translators and professional translators from Japan will work directly with the creators of Muv-Luv series to ensure the highest quality translation for this release.

I'm refering to this.

And people won't even notice if the translation/editing is crap.

It actually seems like they are having some native Japanese translator work on it and then use fan groups for the editing. Which is not encouraging.

I'm pretty sure they aren't doing the scripts from scratch. They want to use old translations as a base.

If you raise that much money why not put the effort in and retranslate the whole thing?

Gamasutra.
I picked up VVVVVV for PSV this weekend. I never got VVVVVV when I played it previously on GNU/LInux or Windows, but with real controls -- much more interested. Still a difficult, but that music is a real treat and keeps me from getting too frustrated.

It's basically the plan Degica's community manager tweeted about.

They really need to clarify what the hell they are doing for the translation so that we don't have to guess how their words should be interpreted.

As far as I know Ixrec is doing the translation or at least working on the project. So yeah, it's the guy who did the original fan translation back then.

They talked of using Ixrec's pre-existing script earlier in the Summer, but he hasn't been mentioned by them in a while. With the other stuff they've mentioned such as using translators from Japan, who knows what they are even doing now.

Anyway, whatever they're doing, the $250k aren't justified at all.

So another ex psmobile game is coming back to the Vita as a full fledged psn title . Rodem the wild . the weird survival dog game. I didn't play it though. I don't get why super crate box and passing time aren't psn games . there were some good games in psm and I hope to see this tendence grow more in the future.
From the top of my mind some psmobile games with full fledged PSN realeses were:

Aqua kitty dx
Rock boshers dx
The quiet please collection

Im hoping to get more versions of some games . i would like a tacs games collection . súper crate box, passing time, rebel, cytus lambda , musync, oh deer and some others . i really feel sony is stealing my money not letting me download what i have already purchased i dont beleive im eligible to a refund but the correct thing would be a refund to those we have purchased games on PSM.

What? Really?
Do you want to play on bed? You can play on bed.
Do you want to play on the 1000" tv? You can play on the 1000" tv.

That's exactly what vita should have been since the beginning! Instead at sony decided to cut the tv out that was already present in the psp! Man i was so disappointed when i knew that vita had no tv out.
So many wrong decisions...

Do you think the new twitch app on Vita will let users directly record their footage on the handheld? If that 's so, a dream would come true

Twitch app coming to PS4 and Vita with "PC like featues"

This might make the Vita my new chilling in bed streaming device

Thanks to Youtube Gaming, I guess ;) I mean there was no sign of native Twitch app on PlayStation, but after Google stepped in – well there it is.

Also, it's coming to PS3 too. And what does it mean "PC like features"? Streaming from PS device?

Need Vita DX for a RAM boost to allow that.

I supposed that could be a problem, but IIRC some months ago I read somewhere Twitch were investigating a way to exploit Vita and 3DS hardware to make broadcast someway possible, even though it seems too irrealistic to be true. Anyways, a Twitch streaming app in my case will be a good way to see conferences or streams through the wonderful OLED goodness

Just get a PSVTV and proper recording equipment for the PC if you want to broadcast to twitch. Realistically thats not going to happen with a Vita seeing how it has resource issues with games alone as is.

So the Vita is getting streaming support :D?

Man, I would love to stream some PS1 games every now and then :).

Looking forward to seeing the app come out in the future :D.

You'll be able to watch streaming with that app, not stream content yourself.

wish there was an app for streaming from the vita, but I doubt the connection would make for an enjoyable experience. Handhelds should really have video out.

Oh well, at least we can see some cool streams at least :).

Decided to re-visit Misadventures of Tron Bone this weekend (aiming to beat it) before Legends 1 lands on NA PSN; great way to be in the world of MML before playing the original :D!

Or at least an app that'd allow you to record game footage from the system. I'd buy a 64GB memory card just to keep recording and editing my videos.

Yeah, pretty much. honestly surprised this isn't standard judging by the market for handheld video out mods having some momentum now.

That'd be a reason for me to get into that email hack that's been going on. I wonder if that's something feasible with such a hack.

Paranautical Activity is up and running on Vita. Hopefully a release date soon.

Checked some footage of this - I'm in :O

Apparently Rocketbirds 2 was at TGS, but can't find any footage. Every site I saw reports different platforms though: someone says it's still PS4/Vita(including the Asian PSBlog), someone says it's Wii U/Vita and someone else said PS4/Wii U(seriously hope not, I want it on Vita)
