Corpse Party: Blood Drive |OT| Not the Red Cross You Were Expecting

just got done with the prologue and the game is fantastic! my only gripe is the sound when characters are talking sounds a bit low quality or muffled not always though. I'm loving the OST thus far.

ok I'm on chapter 3 and need some help
Yuki just throw what seems to be the book of shadows out the window, I thought I would head outside from the entranceway to reach it but it didn't work. So question is now where do I go? I've checked basically every room and still can't find the next step.

I just finished that chapter last night and If I recall correctly the sequence of events after that was something like:
Go back to the janitor's room. Examine the cabinet and you get a key.
Then after that
Use that key on the first floor room 5-A, examine the séance board.
then
go all the way back to where Ayumi put down her first candle and head south.

thanks, overall this chapter was kinda annoying to figure out.

Chapter 4 has to be the most aggravating chapter of any of the games so far.
The amount of phantoms is ridiculous compared to the small amount of talismans you find and they find you no matter where I go. I ended up dying to 3 of them chasing me down. I feel like I'm punished for exploring now.

Did anyone buy digitally and get the NP-9978-3 error? Download won't initiate and I can't find much on the error other than it having to do with activation? Weird because I never mess around with that, and I tried reactivating on my system and nothing.

They really should have limited the enemies that chase you to specific events or major enemies. As it is now is mildly annoying instead of scary.

Chapter 1 spoiler:
Getting chased by Mayu was a total "oh fuck!" moment, but those random shadow phantoms are just lame.

So, I checked PewDiePie's channel to see if the Blood Drive video was up but I found a "BOKU NO PICO REACTION" so I guess the deal didn't work?

Smooth sailing so far on my OLED vita.

I've checked every room in Chapter 4 and I'm stuck at the part after
Mochida springs
and can't the find the next item to proceede.

Game looks better than I expected but it the framerate goes down to like 15 when you turn the flashlight on. Speaking of the various lightsources, where do you go to monitor battery life? Is it a major thing to be concerned about?

Well, you can always just hit select and enable infinite battery. But yeah the downfall of having the flashlight on is the FPS goes to shit D:

I had this issue also. I was able to download it by accessing the playstation store on my computer, accessing the download list and prompting the download for the vita that way. Another option is using your ps3 if you have one.

Really? Wow. Why even have the system then, doesn't disable trophies or anything? Also, can enemies see the beam?

And the first wrong end was disappointing, phantom just chased me and sat on me and that was it, no gruesome details or dialogue. Hope that's a rarity!

Edit: What the hell happened with this series? There's some super rich ceo teacher and all of a sudden some bikini girl just pulled out a fucking scythe and tried to murder me in public. First game came out a while ago but I remember it being just(mostly) normal teens trying to survive in a horrible hellscape......

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.

Probably different developers?

The new cast is so wacky, it feels like this is a mashup game.

Second wing in the art room up top has the crow bar to go into the locker room. You'll need a board from the gym as well for this.

The end to Chapter 4 was a bit nuts with
all of those guys with giants axes chasing me having to stay alive for a full minute.
Enjoying the game so far other than a couple things.

It's not uncommon for people to struggle upwards of 30 minutes on that part.
Then again, I saw someone clear it tonight on their 2nd try. So it's certainly fair once you know what NOT to do.

Played through Chapter 0. That was a good way to get back into this world, complete with a couple of moments that got my pulse racing a little bit. This game promises to be good.

The only complaint I have so far is the volume for the voice acting. Too often I feel like it's a struggle just to hear the lines being spoken.

I managed it on my second try by just running in circles around things lol. Worked well for me anyways.

Man the wrong ends for the most part are pretty weak. How do you go from something like
Mitsuki describing what it's like to have your skin peeled off to oops you got caught by a ghost... and it beat you to death the end

I have a few questions. I'm in the early part of Chapter 3 though:

1. Are there random chases? Like monsters appear randomly.
2. Should I eat the Strawberry Bun found in the classroom? :p

Come on guys, put your spoilers in spoiler tags. I've seen more than two open wide spoilers on the last few pages, there are people still waiting for the game to arrive that are reading the topic.

Man, there is some unintuitive bullshit in this game.

Chapter 4:
To get a key, you need to check this tree twice. This has never happened before, and the game even warns you against checking things more than once to avoid the darkening.

Chapter 5:
To avoid a monster in a scripted chase, you need to enter a specific locker while the enemy is looking at you. Previously, the game warns you to not do that because you'll get caught.

And don't worry about neutered Wrong Ends...

2. Should I eat the Strawberry Bun found in the classroom? :p

1. Shadows will appear and chase you outside event stuff, but they always appear in the same places.
2. Sure. It's a healing item.

I hope that changes it hasn't been worth going for them so far.

Is there any downside in enabling infinite battery for the flashlight?

I don't think so.

I do enjoy Blood Drive but I do consider most of the Wrong Ends to be underwhelming compared to the first two games.
Not much in the way of CG artwork for them and any description (if it's there at all) tends to be rather abrupt.

Ex chapter 4 GOES ON FOR FREAKING EVER!
Don't say I didn't warn you in advance. (
I'm not even sure you're near the ending of it yet.

Isn't sending out review codes the day of release kind of shifty?

I could see how it may give that impression, but we had a mixup where PSN promo codes weren't provided to us ahead of release.

We've never been afraid to have reviews right at launch because most of the time people know exactly what they're getting into with our releases as they've been released in Japan already and can easily find impressions of the Japanese version. It's tough enough for us to get press coverage as it is, so a bad review is better than no review any day of the week because at least it gets people talking.

We're in it for the long haul and always want to be as open as possible because we want people coming back to us for our future releases. This is the main reason we announced that Akiba's Trip would be coming to the PS4 shortly before the PS3/PSV launch last year because we didn't want anybody to feel like they were tricked into buying the PS3/PSV version if they preferred to wait for the PS4 release.

I seem to have found one review: http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Co...e-Review-Thrills-Chills-Few-Spills-92227.html

In the end, the most important thing I look for in a horror game (especially one that releases so close to Halloween) is that it provides me with some genuine chills. Despite my complaints, this return trip to Heavenly Host was a creepy delight that opted to try plenty of new things rather than fall back on a familiar formula. Not all of those changes were for the better but, on the whole, I’m happy this haunted world sucked me back in for one final scare.
