Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition will arrive on #WiiU #eShop on 29/10 and will have a 25% discount until 05/11.

The Wiimote style controls in this game were really fun (albeit game breaking). I always thought it was a bummer they didn't put them in the new PC version as an option with M/KB (RE5 PC has an optional RE4 Wiimote style controls and it is pretty fun to play that way).

Never liked the Wiimote controls for this game(I really sucked at aiming, was too used to the Gamcube controls), but nice for Wii U users.

It's fitting it comes out next week. It's also the first third-party title to be released on Wii VC in the West (in Japan, Muramasa and Trauma Team have been released this Summer).

Regarding the controls; if you're interested in this game and haven't tried playing it with the Wii Remote + Nun-chuck, then definitely give it a try. You'd be surprised at how well the game plays with it. There are a few "waggle the Wii remote like crazy to avoid this boulder" moments, but they're very few.

It supports GameCube Controller (not on this version for obvious reasons) and the Wii Classic Controller (Pro) which means it will be playable with the actual GamePad buttons in Off-TV mode.

Question is: Is the German version finally complete since they likely had to re-rate it for this release? The original GCN and Wii releases were missing the Ada bonus stuff.

Yes, you could use both gamecube or classic controller with this version.

That pointer control scheme was amazing. Crank the difficulty up to max to compensate and it's quite the ride.

I'm kind of bummed that pointer system was not implemented in the PC version.

This is by far the best version of the game in my opinion, it just controls so well. Don't use a Classic Controller out of fear and if your playing the game for the very first time, have an amazing time!
