COMICS! |OT| October 2015. ...Are just something we do while the patch downloads.

Read Vader vol 1 (1-6) and really loved that ending. Loved the new droids and Dr. Aphra? So into it, loaded up all of Aaron's Star Wars run onto my cart and bought all of those and subscribed to both series on CMX.

I like watching them and picking on them, but they lost to the nuggets and the Warriors looked great last game so I'm curious as to how tonight's will go.

So am I but I fear a complete trashing.

Hey guys, why is the new Hawkeye volume coming out this week listed as Vol 5 when they rebooted back to #1 post fraction. Trying to trick people into buying that shit.

Korupt caught the Star Wars fever. The droids are hilarious, even though they're basically just evil C-3PO and R2.

Gone mostly digital, eh? Interesting. So much for that tactile feedback
;)

I do have the fever. But also, like many others, was the birth of my geekiness. The prequels caught me in that weird part of my life where I was in school, looking for girls, going out all the time, having no money for the merchandise, and there was a lot of negative vibes about them even though I enjoyed them for what they were. I remember bumming money from my best friends dad so I could buy a Darth Maul Collection 1 figure that I saw down at the local drug store after my own dad said no.

Went all digital on DC, My indie books, and now Star Wars. Still get physical for all the indie books me and/or my wife reads.

Gotta get on that Star Wars and Vader comics.

Got 2nd place at my work's Halloween costume contest dressed up as Kylo Ren. Woo!

Sweet. Can't wait for tomorrow. Did you see my video clips of me wearing mine in the Star Wars Merch thread?

I am watching the comics-gaf agreed upon game, rockets/warriors, which is also pretty good so far. I don't have league pass shenanigans, thunder game isn't televised.

Ah ok, I am watching Rockets now.

Also reading Howard the duck while watching it and I'm finding as I go on Quinones art is getting looser and looser. It's nowhere near as well done as bloodspell. I understand why but it's still disappointing . Still pretty funny.

I'm two issues into this Peter David Supergirl run and it's really interesting........and WEIRD. I think I'll just go ahead and buy the rest since it's on sale.

Anyone recommend the New 52 or Joeb's run of Supergirl?

Come to think of it, I don't remember what's even printed on the actual cover. I'm not home right now otherwise I'd snap a pic. It's a really awesome book, though. You'll love it.

Awesome! Thanks. I'm excited to check it out.

Your outfit in motion looks bad ass.

Got my Multiversity Deluxe Hardcover in. This gon be a good weekend.

I'm getting that tomorrow. I don't know when I will read it, though. I kind of want to read some other events that I have first, like Infinite Crisis, Identity Crisis, and Final Crisis. I don't know. At least Final Crisis since that's Grant Morrison.

Speaking of which, are those events that I listed connected to one another in any way? Or are they separate?

Finished the halo 5 campaign. One of the weakest in the series. And ugh the story has some big issues. We finally lose the flood that dragged down games but now stuck fighting prometheans.

But! Played a match of wars one and 10 arena matches and had a ton of fun. Got placed in silver for the team arena playlist which I guess is ok? I was actually doing better than in most online shooters.

Poodle I saw you online playing. Next time we should get a fire team going

To answer your question, what's underneath the Solo dust jacket on the front cover is just a large image of the same Batman illustration that's on the dust jacket. Though the back cover has this:

I don't see how it's tricking people when it pushes people checking out the new volume to seek out Volumes 1-4, which, unlike volume 5, are actually good.

Having the slight urge to read Cyborg now. Perhaps my depression has subsided a bit. Sucks DC suits gave up on the DC You before it began...

I still have no idea what that was even supposed to be. Was it some kind of rebranding that was never elaborated on? I mean, I remember the ads, but they told me nothing.

Would also like to say that the first issue of Hellboy and The BPRD 1953 was GREAT.

It's two short stories in a single issue and they're really good. One's about Hellboy and Trevor visiting a house in England that's haunted by a severed hand. The other is a story where Trevor and his friend Harry talk about their first ghost hunt. It's a good read for Halloween for sure.

I read the first volume of RunLoveKill. Really liked it. Canettes art is really fluid and electric. It's fairly brutal in spots. Particularly loved the flash backs to start the issues. Very cinematic. My favorite flash back was in #3 just a very cool story beat and the art was awesome. Didn't like the end of the trade and I see another issue hasn't shipped and this trade has been out for a bit. I hope the last 4 issues weren't canned.

I just read Guardian part one (Pirates of Manhatten) in Seven Soldiers of Victory. That was one of the most bizarre and amazing comic issues I've read in a while. Absolutely loved it.

It's awesome. Best parts of the collection from what I've read so far.

I really dug the first issue of that. Really fun premise and I do like Cameron Stewart's art a lot.

I just read Shining Knight #2 and man, Mood 7 Mind Destroyer is just the coolest name I've seen in a while. I'm enjoying this particular mini more than I expected to.

Holiday avatar! I'm gonna try and stick to this till after Christmas.

Also grabbed a few issues of PAD's Supergirl while it's on sale. First issue was definitely not what I was expecting! Very, very interested to read more as I enjoyed it a lot.

NGL this art in Halo is pretty good. Sergio Arino's people could be better, but he has the armor, enemy designs, and visual tone of Halo down pat.

And Reed's writing is solid. I'm hyped for Blue Team.

Read a few comics from July. These Secret Wars tie ins are absolutely awful. I can see why Hickman got disenfranchised and burned out from completing the event when his life's work and setup is supported by talentless and myopic creators.

Couldn't be more wrong than the wrongest person in the universe.
