They could easily release this game on Xbox360 and PS3...
Remember how Skyrim was running on PS3? That thing was at its limits.

SSAO looks absent or the user playing in the videos has cranked the gamma way up. Even boxes laying on the table have no shadow at all, looks really bad. Compression in the videos is also really high so texture details are gone.Lack of shadows in a lot of areas look really weird but I guess they disabled some shadows in the console version for whatever reason
The character animations look... Really bad. I swear some of them are directly from FO3/NV. I don't think higher graphic settings are going to fix that in the PC version

The art is actually really good, it's weird no one is really talking about that. I think the concept art and the actual visual style a pretty well realized. As for the graphics, it looks good to me in spots, looks a little rough in others, but I feel that has been most of my experiences with Bethesda games, just give me that damn world building.
Jesus, all those re-used copy paste indoor assets from Fallout 3/NV. The same metal boxes, the same terminals, the same med-kits, the same tables. Engine also has the same jank/judder going on while moving. Will need PC mods to fix it.
I think the theory that this was meant to be a last gen release is spot on!
It's set in the same world in a similar post apocalypse timeline, who is going to have invented new computers and what not in that world in that time?

I think it looks fine.
I wish every developer put as much effort into dogs as Kojima did. Cant wait for a cat from Kojima.
Fallout 4's PBR implementation looks lazy as fuck. Almost like they switched midway and simply slapped on the old textures and called it a day. Not seeing any good use of reflection roughness either, everything seems fairly uniform and 'cgi'.
Of course, it might be intended for the art style they chose.

For real. They should've built a new engine from the ground up for this generation. Looks too similar to Fallout 3, which was 7 years ago. After playing The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight it's really hard for me to feel immersed in a world that aims for realism with such poor graphics and animations. It feels like a remaster from a PS3/360 game. Not sure if I'll be picking this up.
I have a feeling F4 will have very mixed reviews...there will not be a free pass this time.
One can only hope that they wont get a free pass again, but I seriously doubt that...

Is there Dogmeat friendly fire? I hope not since it looks like he will dart in front of your shots from time to time and I dont want to accidentally kill him.

TW3 doesn't even remotely have the same freedom Bethesda games have. They seem janky in retrospect but Oblivion and Fallout 3 were amazingly immersive games for their time because they were the best looking games of their type back during a time when no one else did that style of game like they did.
It's 2015 people, they have some rough competition now from games like the Witcher 3 so making excuses for the graphics doesn't fly like it used to back when there were no other games like it. Visuals impact immersion tremendously for people, videogames are a visual medium after all.

is now also complete.
Still need to see level requirements to plan fully ahead, but this is a start!
I'm rarely excited about stuff filled into a table, but oh boy am I hyped.
Fallout 3.5 indeed. But surely some people will still be happy, seeing as they are happy to play the same Assassin's Creed's of the world every year.

The reactions in this thread alone pretty much guarantee a mixed response. I remember the F3 / FNV pre-release reactions well and they were completely different in tone.
