That peach legitimately looks like my butt hole

I'm hopeful for 1440p/144fps on PC with my rig. If it's as optimized as Mad Max was I'll be real satisfied. Game is coming along nicely regardless of platform.

Imagine if someone made a multiplayer mod for this like JC2? O boy.

Have the PC requirements been released yet? I know my 290x is going to shit on my PS4 but I'm curious of my hopes for 60fps and decent settings.

But the PS4 is the one-eyed amongst the blind and pirates are cool, so PS4 wins!!!

We all win, cuz JC3 is gonna be awesome.

unless you have a good PC, then you win double. Cuz its gonna look great on PC. oh. PIRATES sure are awesome. :D

Who cares? This is pretty standard for this gen. Its not like the Xbone is going to all of a sudden become as powerful as the Ps4

These comparisons... They are only of use to people who own both an Xbox One and a PS4. Surely anyone that can afford both can afford a gaming PC if resolution matters that much?

I would rather it do the Far Cry 4 style horizontal scaling. That said as there isn't MP in this game I might get it on PS4 anyway.

I just think had the xbox one been the best console this gen, we would have seen a lot more 900p games on the ps4...

thank god this is not true.

???

Highly doubt that. PS2 absoutely crushed all of the other consoles during its gen but the GameCube and (especially) Xbox still had many far better looking multiplats.

I'm guessing 30fps on both consoles, and 60 on PC? Woooo boy, another 900p debacle. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun on regardless of platform!

Why is it a debacle? It would be more of a debacle if they intentionally gimped the PS4 version. There's no reason for people to be angry at a developer for fully utilizing the hardware they're given.

If MS wanted a system better suited for 1080p gaming then they should have listened to AMD's own recommendations when they were designing the system. They didn't, and this is what you get.

Is that true though? eventually will the Xbox One version of games be able to atleast match the PS4's?

Why would they? Are devs just going to stop optimizing their games for PS4? Why would they give less attention to the platform that has a 2 to 1 sales lead?

There will be a ceiling for both correct? its just one will hit its ceiling allot sooner then the other? I am not assuming anything! I am asking questions about things I am unsure about and listening to the response.

Considering the architecture for both is nearly identical, the ceiling for both is pretty much the same. You could argue that devs will get even more out of the PS4 when they focus heavily on GPU compute.

I could wrong but isn't it announced 1080p on xbone some time ago? Although I'm not exactly surprise, I don't call it a good news.

If it's 900p it was probably in support of having the game run better. If they forced 1080p it could have performed badly. A 1080/900 split for PS4/X1 hopefully means the games are tailored for their respective hardware. Fanboy bullshit aside I would call that good news.

It's a shame that this is a lengthy thread in 2015. It's not like out of the ordinary...

Yeah, it's almost 2016 and I'm a bit surprised by all the "early 2014 flashback" posts.

This resolution difference trend for action games should be well known now.
