One major power dropped, need one more to hone full break after the seifer boss battles. Though I suppose we are due for a dungeon update soon as well...
Well, I reached the "This game seriously bores me" phase. I couldn't care less about dailies, and I'm not interested in the new events either. I guess I'll still complete events when new ones are released, but I'm no longer spending 100% of my stamina efficiently, and I can't say I really care about new paintings.
I reached that stage over the weekend, and downloaded the Japanese version to have a look at the new UI and mess around a bit. It may have been a mistake as I'm hooked again, being able to stamina refresh all the way through the classics means I'm spending far more time in Japan. Clouds fenrir soul break as roaming warrior meant I was able to clear up to the bonus battles on the FF6 event on my second day for all the memory crystal 1s at least. Also did a round of the Ex++ daily with less than level 20 characters with it. Two rounds with fenrir and the magic pot didnt fight back. Its seriously over powered and I've ten Rws with it now. Powering through the rest of the classics to set myself up for maybe even getting to the bonus ones in the Vincent event...great craic.
Oh...and I did some global dailies for some stuff or something. Not very exciting. Huge lull between events is painful.

I'm glad they updated the dailies, that breathed some more life into this for me, but that said, the events should come more often and have better rewards. Or actually use the quest system to extend the intervals between events.That we are getting the same garbage 2* equips in this viii event is mind boggling. How many of those have i trashed by this point? The new relics are very underwhelming when compared to ssbs on the horizon. We are now getting events with a ton of reused characters that are just growth eggs for old players, I'd rather those be greater orbs and let noobs get the characters through events, which will be much more pronounced as we go on.
They seem to be trying to address ways of noobs getting characters. In Japan they have what I can only describe as a character shop, it seems to have replaced the bonus quests. There is some new resource, I got three through quests, and you can redeem them for any previously released character of your choosing. I got myself Aeris as there was a FFVII event on and I needed a white mage. I reckon I'll redeem as appropriate or when I get certain characters soul break weapons on that server. I have no idea how common the resource is and I have no idea what the quests are as they are in japanese. I can sometimes figure them out from the pictures though.
My point is that they are phasing that in by the looks of it. However, the two events Ive seen have 4 characters, 4 memory crystals and 3 memory crystal 2's per event...so get used to getting growth eggs all the same.

I have a Japanese login, it gets worse as far as event characters goes. The II event with Minwuu had five or so characters, most of which were already released and their associated mem crystals. Annoying, at least to me.

Yeah, the early days were pretty brutal. The first event in particular where the boss guarding Sephiroth's hero record was frigging ranged! Back then we only had black + white mage, Rydia, Wakka and Tyro for dealing ranged damage. A lot of people missed out on him

Remember those days, barely scraping by to get characters
We also had Kain with Jump for ranged damage. He was my best physical dps at the time thanks to a 4* Rune Axe being my strongest weapon by far and he was the only one besides Tyro who could equip it.
I no longer spent stamina 100% efficiently as of like more than two months ago, heh.
Orb Dungeon was an exception since it was far and away the best use of stamina. But prior to that even at 125ish Stam I was just getting full 8 hours of sleep and most of the time not even starting up the game right when I woke up.
I remember being so happy I could make Syldra and then I nuked the shit out of pre-nerf Magitek Armor.

These are the results for my 50-mythril pull. Not too shabby! The bracers have a healing limit break. While the dagger is weak, it's important to have a good dagger for every realm since it's a weapon type everybody can use. Irvine's gun is the second FF8 gun I've gotten, so it's not as useful in terms of need, but it's nice to have unique limit break items and it does mean I can use two gun-wielders in a single FF8 party.

Got a 5 star glove with VIII synergy for my 100 gem pull between that and my Blitz Sword I'm good for VIII synergy

How soon till the next SSSB festival? I already have Organics or whatever for Cloud and I'm considering pressing my luck with an 11x pull for Squall's weapon.

got a four star IV dancing dagger, straight to the trash unfortunately. Actually I plowed that and all the 3 star and below equip materials into the golden sword because why not. was going to leave it at level 1 and eventually use it for augmenting a useful weapon, but maybe it will come in handy in the interim.

I really want them to add more 4* gear to the game. I keep getting the same stuff I already have completely maxed whenever I pull. Even in Japan it doesn't look like the 3* and 4* selection has changed much
It's about a month away (three more events after this one)

yeah, I've made probably 10 or so 11 pulls in japan since their last orb festival when i started and the only interesting non 5 star relic that I've pulled that I didn't have over here is that red XIII mythril clip that we have one of from an event. disappointing to say the least.
No. They're regular banners with more character relics than usual. The Lucky draws that were half price was a one-time thing and we probably won't get them again until the anniversary in February
Better than the 3* Power Rod (XII) on my 100 gem pull, which i immediately sold because i already have a ++ version of it. Besides, Hammers actually have high atk so if you get a couple more and combine it to ++ you'll have a pretty nice RS weapon for XII.
;_; Dancing Dagger+ is still my best RS physical weapon for IV, i'd gladly take another one to make it ++.

Did an 11-pull in the carpool lane. A carpool pull, if you will. And finally, after VIII banners giving me absolutely nothing to work with, a light at the end of the tunnel.

100 gem + 50 mythril pull. Actually quite a good draw: 2x 5*, 6x 4*, 3x 3*
Still disappointed, though. No Soul Break equipment; just another Genji Shield and an FF8 glove which will be useful for Zell, I guess.

Got the Cutting Trigger and Dagger on my one and only (cause Im mythril poor) pull. Everything else was 3*
Once I start the event obviously Ill get more mythril but prob wont pull this banner again.
Guess this kinda makes up for only getting a single 5* in the 4 lucky pulls awhile back.

Wow! Great haul overall, sorry that you did not get CT. I don't know how many pulls you did but with 17 5* it's hard to be disappointed. I am sure that you did considerably less pulls than 17 so luck was still on your side. It's probably waiting for you in the upcoming SSB fest! Do you plan to do any more pull on this banner?
Yeah it's not bad at all! I got everything else on the banner plus a random VII armor for my Cloud lol
I might try a paid pull or if I can save enough mythril I'll do one more but I don't think I'll get enough by then since I used all of mine.

Yup! I have his Shear Trigger which is actually fantastic.
I have an SB for everyone except Quistis and Zell but have usable weapons for them.

Half of the stages for this event don't have bosses, is this is a growing trend? Can't remember any other event since I started playing (Forbidden Treasure) being this light on encounters.
