Wish I hasn't fucked myself by starting NG+. Ah well.
I was speed running the game trying to see all endings and I'm now on NG+++ with a lvl 176 character. I know I probably fucked myself over, but NG+ difficulty scaling isn't as bad as the Souls games so I... I'm sure I'll manage somehow.

The new enemy NPC doesn't show up until you've co-oped at least one boss as part of The League and crushed a vermin.

He showed up for me before I could even access buckethead. I beat VA wwnt to the forest and fought npc hunter right away and got the whistle. My game has always done crazy things with npcs though. I have never been able to complete eileen's quest line and I habe followed every guide. I can get the tomb lamp to be blocked off and when I go there on foot, no one is to be found

My character is basically at the end of the game right now. Sounds like even if I can access it I might be waaay too over leveled. Bummer.

Most impressions seem to imply that it is really hard no matter what your level is.

edit.

Also people who have played it and say it is hard in comparison to main game. Do you also mean stuff in Chalices or just the base game?

By that point, power vs. level is fairly flat, and much of the mileage comes from gems. You can easily just use worse gems to simulate being a lower level.

Henrik can be hard to see. Did you run around a bit?

yeah, but I am way past that now. I have tried three times. My new character cant get eileen to spawn outside cathedral ward. Maybe I have progressed too far. I will keep checking for the lamp to be unavailable in this playthrough. Where is Henrik usually waiting at the tomb?

I'm ready I think. Massively overlevelled but it's NG++ and I'm not the greatest player so it's okay in my mind. Bring on Tuesday.

Also I only just learnt how to turn the Shadows of Yarnham on each other and tried it out in a co-op session. This game's keeps on giving.

I think the first time you talk to Eileen must be before you defeat Vicar Amelia. After VA you can help her kill Henrik. Entering the forbidden woods might be the point of no return for her quest but I'm not positive. If you help her with Henrik she will be outside the Grand Cathedral after you defeat Rom.

Henrik kind of blends in a little. He's a bit towards the back.

I hope I'm okay got two main characters.
NG+ Lvl 132
&
NG Lvl 45

Id rather use my NG+ char, he has All my shit plus looks much cooler.

Cool, thanks

I'm level 265.

The final boss didn't give a fuck. I must have died 30 times.

Grinning ear to ear.

I'm on a new playthrough on a different account trying to get the Platinum (just have the chalice dungeons to go urrrggghhh), hopefully I can still access the DLC in this playthrough as I'm level 80 something which seems to be a nice spot for this.

How it compares to Chalice dungeons in terms of difficulty?

It's been so long since I've done those, but the final boss felt more difficult. The hardest boss in chalice was fire dawg in the defiled chalice (imo) because of the HP restriction. But this one is able to kill me in a hit or two and I have tons of HP.

This is my HP bar (non DLC screen):

Oh boy. This will be a treat.

Endurance is often the last thing I level in BB. Compared to Souls it doesn't seem as important.

I can see that, I still like having high endurance for attack stamina and better element resistance. I tend to level endurance a lot to begin with but then I start putting it mostly toward HP, strength and skill. Wish there was a way to build Frenzy resistance w/o equipment.

Damn, maybe my level 80 ng+ character is a bit underleveled. I didn't want to be able to steamroll the dlc so I've been using all my echoes to buy vials...
