In the little we see of her, we already know that she is confident, strong, and intent on hurting/teaching Drake a lesson. She also obviously sees herself as Drakes equal on a physical level. What I'm really curious to see is if Naughty Dog let us kick her butt. And if so, how vividly that plays out on screen.

Cos let's be honest, with this level of graphical fidelity, the results could be disturbing and would raise many questions about misogyny in the industry.

1) I'm Australian. Accent sounds South African to me?
2) VG Actors are allowed to not look like the character they're representing. See Kratos, see Blue Beard in TWAU, see Penguin in Arkham Knight, see countless thousands of examples throughout the history of the medium.

What is it about Uncharted games that drives people to find any and every possible angle to complain and be outraged? It can't just be non PS4-owners being a bit salty, what is it about Uncharted specifically that attracts these comments like moths to a flame? Lara Croft murders people left and right, no one cares, Drake does it, "he's a cold blooded murderer because he says jokes!". Phil La Marr does an awesome performance as Vamp (a character he doesn't look like), it's fine (it's more than fine, he crafted an iconic character), Laura Bailey puts in a (on first observation) great performance as Nadine, "It's white-washing racism!". Mortal Kombat has women fighting men, it's fine, Uncharted has Nate defending himself against a formidable female attacker, and it might "trigger victims of domestic violence"

I'd love for just one Uncharted 4 thread to not be derailed by people being outraged. The lighting in that trailer was great, the intrigue of the new character and the questions about their location/motives is fascinating, the animation is phenomenal, I am hyped AF for this game, and hope we get to see more at PSX in a few days.

They pretty much have to be because of how big games are now. Bluepoint had to drop all of the extras from the Uncharted Collection because of how much space the cutscenes took up. But for U4 they're all realtime. ND have pointed out that if you have a specific gun or if Drake is dirty then that'll show up in the cutscene.

This is the digital world. It's not as simple as looking at something as obviously racist as blackface and calling it racism. It's voice work. It's how we have a black guy voicing Samurai Jack and had another black guy doing the voice of Shredder back in the 80's.

But oh wait. They should've gotten only Asians to voice those two characters, right? And David Prowse should've voiced Darth Vader. Nevermind the fact that the people who wound up with those jobs were the most talented and best fits for the roles. They should've kept the races separate and only let them play themselves.

It does has its fair share of differences though. I feel like overall, Uncharted 4 approach is more in line with the approach taken in TLOU in regards to soundtrack. More ambient heavy. The PSX demo and E3 one all have these very moody music which kind of contrasts with the trilogy's more bombastic choice of ambient music.

I am just happy I am liking it tbf. Also, I hope they keep Nates Theme. It is iconic.

This makes zero sense. Absolutely zero sense. These two things are not related at all. We are talking about acting here.

Also, have you ever played TLOU? There are many black characters there with black actors making their voices. So it is not like ND despises people of color or anything. This is just a ridiculous and sensitive overreaction I am sorry.

If you get upset over the color of the skin of the voice actor not syncing up with the character, the only explanation I can think of is that you are totally ignorant of the skill set of voice actors. This isn't some big budget animated movie shit with big name stage actors hired by Dreamworks to voice a donkey in Kung Fu Shrek 5 because their name looks good on the movie poster. Voice actors can be the real deal. In MLP:FIM, there are six main characters and only four voice actors because two pairs of characters share an actor, and unless you have a good ear for that sort of thing, you probably wouldn't know the difference. If that can be done, of course a white woman can voice a black character. This is not up for debate unless you are willing to completely discredit the skill of voice actors everywhere along the way.
