Actually you can know which games they were supposed to be by clicking on the links.

You can't know if they are titled "Super Secret" or "Multiplayer Game X". That is the point of using pseudonyms ie to purposely avoid this exact current situation. I'm talking about devs actually naming the apps as "Unknown" not SteamDB.

Phantom Brave is my favourite N1 game.

I've seen it on sale a few times but never picked it up, what was so good about it?

Wasn't Shadow of the Damned and Asuras Wrath scheduled for Steam at one point? Would love to play those.

OH SHIT SOMEONE LOOK THESE UP PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GABEN AND MONOKUMA!

Games usually are in development a long time before they are announced and during that time they're already in the Steam backend (usually hidden, escept when someone screws up).

Lots of Japanese titles in the leak which were successful and a good fit for the PC (VN, Dungeon Crawlers, co-op shooter, strategy/tactics), and we're seeing more and more Japanese companies jumping on Steam. I could probably list good reasons for most games individually.

Oh, alright, thanks for clarifying that, I just thought that you'd put a game in a database long after you're into the development cycle. You got me very excited now, if half of these came out being true, I couldn't be more happier!

I have owned all PlayStation platforms up till the ps4 for this reason as well (though the online fee help me save 400 bucks as well - Fuck that noise). Now there's really no need unless you're into their first party properties. Most of the good stuff ends up on steam.

Fistbump!

Truthfully Sony is partially to thank for this as well, what with making what's essentially a low end PC and having visual studio be so intertwined with the development process. Game engine makers also get the nod for decreased complexity in porting material between platforms.

This is an excellent point. Sony and Microsoft moving towards a more PC based architecture was excellent for easy porting of games from PC (allowing them to build a software library pretty quickly) and will probably do wonders for PS4/XB1 backward compatibility in the future... However, that door swings both ways.

Yes to all of this. Danganronpa 1 and 2, FFX/X-2, FF VI, and Guilty Gear Xrd.

I don't know what to think about the Half Life thing.

Awesome! Now maybe I'll finally get to finish it (FFX). Looking forward to it very much.

Now all we're missing is Persona on the PC, and there won't be much left to live for I guess.

Danganronpa on Steam? That would be great news for some of my friends. I always recommend the games to them, but they don't want to buy a Vita.
