Considering a purchase of Toy Soldiers, because I loved the first two games. Any good reason to pick the Hall of Fame edition? Worth the extra cost?

I really hope not. I can't change my region back to the US until the 7th of January, and I've got US codes for Fallout 3, R6 Vegas 1 and 2, and all 4 Gears games. Can't redeem any because I'm in the wrong region.

Xbox Live Games codes are region free, so you should be able to redeem those codes in any region, as long as the games are available in that region.

My Xbox One is set to US, but my 360 region is set to Australia. When I tried to redeem the Fallout 3 code from the message on my XB1 it gave me an error. So I just saved all the codes I've been getting so I can redeem them after I migrate it back.

I'm positive that I read somewhere that the fallout 3 codes do expire on the final day of the fo4 promotion

Some Xbox 360 codes are region locked. Best example are the first two Gears games. You wont be able to redeem either of this Gears Codes on a German Account. 3 and onward will work.

I had to create a Uk account to use a Gears 1 and 2 Code i bought.

I have enough credit for exactly one game, Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY or Witcher 3 WITHOUT the DLC. Which is the better buy? Getting DA:I with all its bits and waiting for Witcher til it's around this price with all expansions, or just getting Witcher 3? I kind of recognize Witcher is the better game, but I'm kind bothered by not being able to get the DLC.

Every part of DA:I is significantly worse than every part of The Witcher 3, so getting those extra bits does nothing for your decision.

Get The Witcher 3.

I very much enjoyed DA:I and I love the Dragon Age games. That said Witcher 3 is just so much better.

I still haven't installed Witcher 3 yet so can't comment on that but Dragon Age is simply not a good game. Even if you had it free on EA Access I'd tell you not to waste your time.

So get the Witcher I suppose?

This has a better conversion rate than Sunset Overdrive did. Put me in a room with the people who make these decisions.

I feel ya, yo...

I considered this but decided if MS can't price their own published titles fairly, it wasn't worth the effort to give them money.

Exactly. I'll give MS money when they decide to price their games fairly in all regions and not just the US and maybe Canada.

Bring back points!

Indeed. I don't mind paying more as I understand things are worth different amounts in different economies. I've been used to $50 = £50 for many years but some of these UK prices are taking the piss as the actual price drop percentage isn't even matching up now as seen by that Telltale bundle which is a far bigger price drop in the US. One of the few games I was interested in was Lego Marvel which is down to £8 - more than double the price of the US sale price?! ($5 = £3.35!)

Online retailers must be laughing at some of the prices that MS are trying to get away with. If they want us to go digital only this ain't the way to do it.

If anything, it looks like Microsoft has been creeping the prices up over the years considering they sell such similar stuff every time, I've noticed. It's even worse if you consider the more recent than others a further discount for Gold subscribers because they've basically increased prices twice if you don't subscribe. Maybe Microsoft don't have the userbase to apply greater cuts and hoping to maximise dedicated users at higher prices but it's a rock and a hard place if you want to get more people on board and spending digitally. They also have a wealth of content but it doesn't seem to be on sale, I await Rockstar and COD again.

You know what I've noticed the last few sales, MS sales are only "up to 50-60% off", but a few years back 70-80% off 360 titles were quite common in these big sales. I wonder why they don't go 70-80% off any more.

Thinking of buying the FH2 DLC for when I grab an XB1 at some point. Can I just buy it via the website with my current Gold account and then play it via a different account in the future (as with 360 where you can share bought DLC across any account on a console) or did they change that with Xbox One?

I'm in china, 360less and sort of credti cardless that would help me buy 360 games on the store.

This may be an unsafe to do but is there a person here that would be able to login to my account on a 360 and buy the games i'd like to purchase. I have been looking for a week to figure out how to do it and I have no other way right now. My family is pretty gaming clueless and a lot of old 360 friends seem to be missing from online.

I am in china and even with my paypal attached etc it still doesn't let me buy games on the online store from my 360 wallet. Just really HARD to buy games when it shouldn't be that hard.

I suppose if my bank card from america was still good that it would be easier. Things have been really strange here recently though. Like, I can buy some games on the store/american store and others I can't. Support told me cause the games aren't in china (didn't know any 360 games were?) hell if I know....

If there is a guy out there I can trust with my accont info hope everyone can point me that way.. I'd obviously have to be overly careful with my 7 or 8 year old GT.

I think I have like 50 dollars on my xbox, seems MS nor the store cares as it doesn't let me use it.

10% off Fallout 4? I hope that's wrong, it's all I have really been waiting for... Amazon have it really cheap but as we have 3 XB1's in our home I'm all digital, it's way easier that way.

for a big game like Fallout 4 and is also less than 2 months old, think 10% is about right IMO.
