2015 PC Screenshot Thread of the Only Place Where Compression Isn't

I think it actually looks good on the embers, but yeah, there doesn't appear to be a CA-specific option to turn off.

Then for some reason you're using an unpatched version of the game?

I think it's called "Post Chromashift" in the options menu.

Yeah that's it.

Spoilers indeed aren't allowed but there isn't a single spoiler in those 6 shots so he/she is doing nothing wrong. And even if there is a spoiler the game is already pretty much 6 months old so it wouldn't matter anyway.

OP:
Spoilers: Please do not post major plot points from games released in the last 2 months.
Joker being in the game is a spoiler I'd say.
But yes, Batman AK is old enough at this point that it's fine. Even the re-release is over 2 months ago at this point I think.

This game is very inconsistent. Parts of it look great considering it's pretty much a last-gen open world RPG with fully dynamic lighting... others, not so much.

I think its inconsistent because it was put out way too quickly in under 2 years of dev time.

But I love your screenshots. What parts would you say look best ?

Sorry about the previous potential Arkham Knight spoiler, I've taken it out. I know it was within the rules but given a few eyebrows were raised, it's cool ^^

New screen to make up for it:

I would like to know do you guys prefer Arkham Knight with or without film grain?

I am playing it without and looking at the screenshots i think that majority of the ppl that are playing it or finished it don't use film grain.

I am asking because i think that it actually doesn't look bad in AK. It adds something for me, some atmosphere and in some areas it looks better than turned off. Also it looks to me like textures look little better too or maybe it's just hiding flaws?

Am i the only one?

Film grain in video games tend to make it look like there is more particulate matter in the air. It is a way to make your game look more "atmopheric" in both sense of the word.
0_0 Magnificent.

Yeah it awesome.

Nice screens. Settings and resolution?

Ultimate Lighting Mod using these settings:

+ ReShade for small things. Everything Ultra at 3440x1440, CA, Vignette, AA and Bloom disabled in Post-processing. I use the 30 FPS lock option, but seeing how it never seems to dip below that the average FPS is probably some amount higher than that.

The battles, and most specifically the spell effects.

I've never seen spell effects (particularly elemental spell effects) as aesthetically pleasing as those in the FF13 trilogy, and in LR they look best (and run at a solid 60 FPS).

Wait what o_O
Just screwing around with some low-end configurations where many features are disabled. The "blockiness" is due to no texture filtering. I've been trying to render the game in higher resolutions with GeDoSaTo, but I can't get it to work.

Wow, such a nice improved after Dark Souls about optimization! I can play while everythings ultra at 4K/60FPS with GTX 970. So this is about 4x more than currently gen consoles performance.

Hope Dark Souls 3 gonna be good too.

Edit: Edge AA doesn't get rid of the aliasing that appears on angled shots here. Apparently FXAA High is the way to go.

So I tried this lighting mod. This is.... night time. Also known as day time with a blue tint. I know W3 nights are pretty bright but not THIS bright.
