well I'll have to give another look to the weekly deals but as it stands my haul only ended up being South Park and the two Marvel Ultimate Alliance games on 360 and State of Decay for Xbox One

Welp with all the deals now known its fair to say I picked up some nice deals IMO:

- Rise of the Tomb Raider (XB1 ~€35)
- Storm Island DLC (XB1 €5)
- Monopoly Fun Pack (XB1 ~€7)
- South Park Stick of Truth (X360 €8)

Still deciding wether to buy Alien or Zombi, not sure yet.

If this is the last day then all I've bought is Skate 3 and Toy Story 3 for Backwards Compatibility, and I likely won't even play them when (if in toy storys case?) they're made available :p

Dead Island is a good game made by Techland.
Dead Island Riptide is a cheaply made sequel, inferior in every way, made my a lesser team within Techland.
Escape Dead Island is a horrendous steaming pile of shit that fails at even been competent in any way.
Escape Dead Island Labs is DLC for the above game that does not improve things in any way.

I have DI GOTY on ps3, so get dying light some time down the road? I guess that is basically what you are saying.

I guess I'm done then, unless they add something interesting (which they won't).

My picks:
Life is Strange SP 10€
GTA5 40€
King's Quest Ch 1 1,50€
Borderlands Collection 24€
Ori 10€
Portal Still Alive 5€

Not too bad, now back to Fallout..

Think I am all done. Not as good as some of the prior sales but I still came away with a good haul:

XB1:
Life is Strange
Alien Isolation Collection
Dragon Age: GOTY (cheaper than picking up the all DLC)
FH2 Storm Island
Adventures of Pip
Destiny TTK

360:
Tomb Raider Anniversary
South Park Stick of Truth

I have a 360 and bought LEGO Star Wars 3 and LEGO Batman 3, as well as Toy Story 3 and Cars 2.

Edit: oh yeah, and Pure! Not sure if I'm forgetting anything else ... Good sale for me overall.

I got exactly what I wanted out of the sale. Fallout 4 and South Park: the Stick of Truth. I don't think there's anything else I'm looking to pick up for the year, though Dying Light is interesting.

Still deciding wether to buy Alien or Zombi, not sure yet.

For the price, Alien is a steal.

Picked up so far...

Skate 3
Soul Calibur II HD
Life is Strange
Shovel Knight

Considering Alien but can't seem to convince myself that i'm gonna like it... ahhhh

I was all set to wait for Dying Light: EE until Feb 9.

Now I don't know what to do. This would actually be $5 cheaper, but I've waited this long, I kind of want to wait for the improved graphics/animations.

For anyone getting Dying Light, I would recommend waiting to play it until February 9th. That is when the Enhanced Edition comes out and will be a free update for existing owners of the game.

Just to be bitchy, it's Escape Dead Island, not Escape from Dead Island.

Unlike the usual Dead Island games, this one is a third-person action adventure, one that uses very stylized visuals. For that price, it actually isn't a bad little game. It's not great, but I had a lot more fun with it than I thought I would when I reviewed it last year.

If you want something different, you could do worse—and you don't need to have played any other of the Dead Island games to appreciate it. (But, perhaps unlike Keyser Soze, I can appreciate stuff like this, also being a fan of games like Raw Danger and Disaster Report and other kinda-janky adventure games.)

For some stupid reason I didn't realize they were going to split the deals into two weeks, and everything I wanted was on sale last week. Oh well, I'm sure the Forza stuff will be on sale some other time.

I never played those Dead Island sequels but I don't attend to. The original was so bland with horrendously ugly character models and gameplay that got way too old way too quick.

How were you going to get the Enhanced Edition for so cheap?

I'm decided between Octodad and Life is Strange. I know they couldn't be more different but if anyone who's played both could offer some impressions, I'd really appreciate it. I've heard/read a bunch of good things about LiS and for $10 why not jump in and see what's what but the weirdness of Octodad is tempting me.

SO...Ive been trying not double dip but just failed with Outlast, Ive been eyeing Alien but I already Have it on the PC, really, the only thing im interested in that I dont own on PC is ZOMBI, is it worth 12 and change?

I played Outlast on PS4 and enjoyed it (sorta, haha I dunno why I played right through it, don't usually care for horror stuff) - does anyone know if you can skip straight to the DLC or do you need to play the original first to access it? Don't really want to play through again on Xbox just to get to that.

Anyone know this?

I'd rather play on Xbox, but if not I guess I'll just wait for a PS4 version sale.

Quick question for those that own Chivalry, is the player base still healthy? I know it just came out recently but I really don't want to buy in if I'm going to have trouble finding full matches.

That Mortal Kombat X Premium Ed is so, so tempting...does anyone have a few words to say about it?

I just bought it last night.

It's fun, looks great, has an involved story, and the premium version has a nice range of DLC content added into it to make it a worthwhile investment. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you want an alternate fighting game outside of KI.

Yea I bought Octodad on ps4 because of the weirdness. After 3 levels it wore off for me. Once I began getting objectives and couldn't complete them It went from silly fun to a regret purchase. I assume you, like me, wanted to fuck around in Octodad. I played it for an hour day one and have never gone back. I never even thought about the game again until you mentioned it. Before release I couldn't wait to play it, bought it day one. Hope that helps

Agreed with this. The novelty wears off really fast in Octodad. Life is Strange has a much more interesting take on the modern adventure game.
