Thank you -- that's actually what I tried first, unfortunately the option is not there for me. Instead I get an error stating that since I have recently deactivated systems from my account, I can now only do so from the actual console. I learned tonight that you are only allowed to use that function from the website once every 6 months. Waiting on chat support now to see if they will override for me :/
Basically, it's a flag that you own this PS4.

South Georgia is up. I decided to try the ps now free trial. It's actually pretty damn good. I may actually buy the 1 year service.
Support does not have that ability, unfortunately. Several threads have been made about this problem.

Lol I honestly didn't remember when it was I just going off the earlier mentioned of 2009 being the year. But yeah I don't believe there has been a real breach since then.
Will do. He directed me to a console deactivation request form, says a specialist can do it. Did you ever try that?
The form has a field for serial number, so I told him I have no way of knowing the serial of the active console, but he insists that I should enter the serial of the console I want activated, not deactivated. Seems strange, but I'll give it a try.

Nah, that's Valve. As much as I fucking love them and Dota, I'd be lying if I didn't say that I think they are worse than Sony in these regards.

Setting the ps4 as your primary console means you can play all of your digital games offline. If it's not set to primary, you can only play your digital games while signed in to that account.
I wouldn't mind some PSN credits :3

I had tried that and it did nothing. Hopefully it works out for you though. I chatted them up again afterwards and they just told me to do it again and it wouldn't let me so the gave me a case number and said somebody would look in to it in email in in 1 to 2 business days. It's been like a week and still nothing.

Even on the webstore this is a giant pain in the ass. They need to allow us to categorize our download list, with PS+ licenses being one.
Eh, who am I kidding. This is the same company that never gave us alphabet sorting on PS3 and still doesn't even have any form of folder support on the PS4.

I couldn't bring myself to justify the purchase but yeah, I enjoyed my free trial immensely. played some ico and shadow, played a bit of re6 and some last of us: left behind. Lots of cool games I missed out on last gen. probably enough to keep me going for a year or more.

They shouldn't be giving anything out for a single day of interrupted service, it's unusual.

Well normally they announce a lengthy maintenance day well in advance, maybe this was something that couldn't wait but they feel that because there was no advance warning and it probably inconvenienced several people, they may feel obligated to compensate.
Why it's just good practice. Lose a day get it back. Isn't complicated.

I'm not looking for anything but I think it's fairly odvious that by compensation of a subscription I mean an extension of your service by x days.
It's an all round pretty easy way to keep your customer happy when you've not been able to deliver your service for whatever reason.

Stating facts doesn't qualify as a shit-post. PSN reliability/uptime has had issues with reliability and speed over the past 2+ years since the PS4 launch. I think a lot of people who have otherwise strongly supported Sony (myself included) are merely calling them out for not using PS+ money to improve servers as promised. My experience on XBL has been night and day better over the same time period.
This is what they usually do anyway.
Seen a few tales now in the last week of people's PS4 activations being messed with and its making me anxious. I'm in a position where my US account is my primary but my main account (EU) isn't. I log in as EU and can play games from both accounts. What's the best way to check I haven't been compromised? Make the US account non primary, check I can switch the EU to primary then flip it back again?
You can have multiple Primary accounts on a console. You can only have one Primary console per account. You can just check on the EU account without touching the US one. Just play some digital EU games on your US account to check.

Well they obviously are improving servers. Otherwise psn would of went down over Christmas like last year especially with a much bigger load then last time.
Yesterday was the last day to claim December's PS Plus games, so instead of offering an extra day of PS+, I'd rather see them giving the people who waited until yesterday to claim their games a way to still get those titles.
