The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I'm looking forward to hopping into the new season this weekend. I'm gonna start off with a crusader and go from there. I like how the new Legacy of Nothing set seems to have opened up a lot of cool looking builds.

Season 5 starts Friday.

I'm just testing out builds with my Normal characters now.

WW Barbs got nerfed. The WW tornadoes aren't hitting as often now because they're moving past enemies a lot faster.

Crap, that was the only complete set i had with appropriate stats...

Don't forget about Haedrig's gift.

You'll get a full set of gear on your first character in season 5 this time around (arrives in mail)

First 2 pieces you get @ dinging 70.
Next 2 from torment 2? kill on Zollun Kulle (sp).
Final pieces from GR 20.

This will give you a full green set.

DH can now equip 1H weapons cube powers on consoles. Finally.

Now if only we can have seasons too. Has it ever been explained why consoles don't have it in the first place?

Oh the memories, 30 skelletons, a dozen revives, a golem, send them to work, explode some corpses, curse some mobs and relax. :D

Hackers...
Ah. Makes sense. Hacking is another big, unfortunate result of how the console version networking and save files are setup.

I wonder if people, including hackers, would be okay with the changes required (unfeasible as they may) if it would ultimately mean we get these missing features.

Awesome, can you use season rebirth for this, or does it need to be a brand new character +seasonal?

Found some Cube that starts with Ramaladni Gift. A cube that can add a gem slot to a weapon. Shit my pants when I thought of having two gems on one weapon. Alas it only adds a slot to a non-gem slot weapon.

Ive been playing D3 off an on over the last year. I checked my progress after a session this weekend and I've only completed 1% of the game. I'm kind of overwhelmed by how much content I still have ahead of me. I'm currently just doing story mode. What else is there beyond that? Or am I just only 1% done with the story and that's that?

I am pretty sure that's just the random achievements in the game. The actual amount of content isn't that high, it's about how the assets are reused. Most of the achievements are stuff like kill 10k elites or level classes to lvl70.

I got one too ages ago. Used on my BiS weapon, enchanted the socket away to use the cube.

Nah, they count stuff like feats (killing the boss one exact way, finding all the tomes about something, etc). You can skip most of it if you want, the rewards (on console) are mostly sigils/banners.

Did you already try the Torment difficulties? There should be some challenge there. Also if you want variety you could play a wizard since there are so many different ways you can play it and you can keep mixing it up.
Torment difficulties are not available in the campaign the first time. And since it's all so very easy, playing a wizard would not mix it up much, you'd still be holding R2 to win. I know, 'cause I tried just that (played DH, beat it, did a few bounties and rifts and got bored, then restarted as wizard with a friend, it was the same shit).

I haven't played this since it came out on PS4. I probably won't even notice what they added. Game's kind of a fun blur. Still gonna check it out.

stopped playing D3 a long time ago because of their terrible loot system and auction house. I know auction house was removed, but is it even worth going back to this even if I didn't buy the expansion?

Honestly no. The expansion changed the game drastically. All for the better. HIghly recommend playing the expansion in its current state.

It seems like they made diablo without the expansion slightly worse. They retuned gear with a higher level cap in mind, making stats worse on level 60 stuff (ap per crit for wizard focus for example).

Oh... yeah the default difficulties are way too easy. I cranked it all the way up to the max (master I think, or expert maybe) and it was kind of okay. Torment is where it's at though.

They only balance the items around the only end game that is level 70 so yeah. The base version gets every new item that comes with every patch as long as they are available at level 60 though, unlike the other certain loot game.

TBH it was always a slug fest when I played coop. It's as bad as the last patch, at least for me.

That was on your end I am afraid. The games I have played were absolutely 100% smooth but since the last patch all of my friends are complaining about the sudden appearance of 'lag'

Finished 79th in two man group for Season 4 despite stopping just before December.

Just can't beat the macros and people who literally play 20 hours a day.

So, figured I'd try to pick up this game again, missed the last couple of patches.

How do you access this new zone in Adventure mode? I'm a level 70 Crusader, if it makes any difference.

Well maybe you need to get some help from Brother Chris and you too will get top leaderboard positions.

Yeah, I came here to see if the iffier frame rate on consoles has been reported. Playing solo too.

Tried the demo this weekend. Loved it. Waiting for it to hit 10 again and I'm buying.

How is the ps4 version? I would prefer that version

It doesn't.

The only reason hacking exists is because Blizzard chose to have everything stored locally. If they had it store on Blizzard's servers as they do for the PC there would be no hacked items.

You wouldn't be able to play offline, neither.

I'm not sure about the extra spots, but I know with Ruins of Sescheron it was a place you could teleport to the waypoint from the world map screen, but was isolated from the rest of Act 3 (i.e. there was no way to walk to it from another zone). It sounds like they added on to Sescheron and Leoric's Manor, but I would assume the new island is something similar.

(fyi, if you're going to sescheron, go to act 3 and talk to zoltun kulle first)

Well looking at the state of the Xbox Live and PSN servers I think they made the right decision, no?

Imagine the outrage.

I this worth playing single player? I remember playing the demo for this on PS3, and I absolutely loved it - for what it was, an action RPG dungeon hack and slash. Then when it came out, I didn't feel like dropping $70 and it hasn't been on sale cheap enough yet for me to jump at it. I'm not much of a fan of online games like this anyway, so I'd prefer single player, even if most of the community wasn't hacking. Sounds like they are still supporting it with free updates too, which is awesome.

So yay or nay for a casual single player experience?

The only difference in SP and MP is having a friend with. Everything is virtually the same.

I certainly wouldn't play for the story mode, since the story itself is insipid and progression is often halted by cutscenes that quickly become annoying. Thankfully they've added a mode where it's just running through floors of enemies, stripped of any narrative

I'm not sure why because there is no fundamental change with more people*, but there is a satisfaction to getting into group where you're just i in sync, mowing through floors together. Despite the lack of real class synergy (or any meaningful interaction) in Diablo 3 for the game is pretty boring and rote alone, even your playstyle doesn't really change. It's not a game I would play purely for its own merits per say, but rather for something to do while listening to a podcast or using it as a glorified chat room. There are better games to spend $70 on if you're looking for a meaningful single player experience.

*unless you're in the absolute end-end game of running rifts where people have dedicated roles beyond min/maxing, such as pulling mobs toward the killzone of the other damage dealers.
