Beat the game on hard and did some Wesker Mode. I will admit, Hard Mode was harder than I remembered, or I did a lot worse, but managed. I had some difficulty I hadn't had before on the final boss and Leechmen were tougher than I recall pretty clearly though... But regardless, nicely done Remaster, and Wesker Mode is dumb fun.

Well, it'd be doable, but a lot harder. I got a B-Rank on my run, even though I took close to 7 hours, saved 20 times, killed 80-something enemies, and healed quite a bit. I almost feel they made the requirements to get an S-Rank easier on Hard, but don't know that, since it wasn't a great run and a B-rank even surprised me.
Obviously be easier on easier difficulties though. If achievement hunting, I would say try and do the S-rank run the same time you do the no-healing run, and probably recommended on easy. XD; Since healing ties into rank anyway.

I'm fairly certain you can't get a ranking on Easy mode, but I could be wrong.
Looking around it looks like the only factors that affect ranking are your run time - you can save as much as you like and use whatever healing items you want.

Oh my, the other stats may be bonuses. Then I'm sure you could do it on hard, but be trickier again, especially for enemies you need to defeat. The bosses don't have insane amounts of health, but more obviously, and less supplies, and hurt more and all of that.

I'm not sure if his runs count, but I don't think Hard mode would count, as Wesker Mode doesn't have a difficulty select.

Wesker Mode is apparently not ranked either. Not sure if you can get the no healing or no saving awards with him either. But completing Wesker Mode is required to get those costumes for a normal game, which is required for another achievement.

I'd like to know this too. I'm pretty sure that achievement for killing all the Leech Hunter enemies requires you to kill the respawns. I killed everything (I think) but didn't see any respawns.

The bossfights in 2&3 were pretty solid, but yeah the combat in classic RE is really not about the combat in and of itself, so boss fights generally don't feel very mechanically satisfying.

Yea, the bosses in RE have always felt like checkpoints every couple of hours to check how well/conservative you have been playing. It's really just a case of whether you have enough ammo/health to get past them, in-depth skill is rarely involved.
This is fine with me if the bosses are interesting or memorable, the bosses in RE0 are neither.
That is seriously the worst one, you are not fighting the bat, you are fighting the auto-aim system.
You may actually have to restart, it's almost impossible to avoid damage from the swarm of bats around you. Exactly 6 flame rounds will take him down.

Yeah I still haven't caught up with where I left off at my dolphin playthrough attempt (very beginning of the mansion area) so I've only fought the scorpion boss on the train. And yeah, it's a scorpion...and you just sort of stand there and shoot it.

I was just thinking about what a massive tease it was when you get to the factory section of RE2, it looks fucking great. Seeing this in 2002 made me just assume that 2 was being remade next. Hope theres a chance we will see it next year.
Shotgun it, it takes out more of the little bats. Avoid the hunting rifle. In fact it should be ditched after the train.
If you've got enough grenade ammo you can chain him to death the first time he swoops into you. If not, good luck.

Won't the bats come down after the second hit? It's so stupid that the grenade launcher doesn't do any splash damage on them.
That's a shame, seems quite strange that they stopped selling packs 1 and 2 individually as well.

Problem is: he (or his friends) hit me 1-2 times at least. I can't avoid damage during this fight, so I'm dying every time.

Getting stunlocked constantly while fighting the stupid auto-aim is just infuriating. Would've been at least passable without the small bats.

If anyone has a ps4 code I'd appreciate it.
I think regular grenades have a small amount of splash damage.
I'm sure it only took me 5 flame rounds on Hard. Did all of the grenades hit the boss bat, or did one of the small ones get in the way?
