Vote for Vita - Poll of Games that could come to Vita in the future!

Not sure what this Liam guy's pull is, but I voted for Yakuza and AoM.

Also, put SaGa: Scarlet Grace at the end.

Answered it, want everything except Freedom Planet.

Btw, I'd love more indies on Vita - Chasm, I'm looking at you!

Who is this person and how do they have the ability to just bring these titles from thin air/Japan?

He's a part of a decently popular youtube channel. He started a campaign a while ago to ask what ports people would like on Vita:

https://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/3b3rnx/going_to_try_launching_a_small_campaign_to_get/

After that, he went talking to publishers and established that... not a whole lot were interesting. But there were a few he got some decent feedback from, which you can read here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/417e3u/votevita_to_debut_next_week/

These are the 4 games that he believes have a legitimate shot of coming west if it can be shown there is enough demand. He's not localizing or porting these himself!

It's very similar to what happened with getting Borderlands 2 on Vita, in that it's fans showing demand.

For people wondering how this poll works, its like this.

Liam from 2 Best Friends Play was interested in getting more games on Vita, so he talked with a lot of developers and major publishers and they all turned him down.....outside of a few cases.

This poll is the result; Sega, Inti-Creates, Galaxy Trail, and Square Enix decided to consider bringing a game or two to the Vita if this poll shows enough interest.

Liam isn't paying a development studio to make the games or anything like that; this poll is to gauge interest in these titles on Vita and if we get X amount of votes for each title, then the chance of them coming to Vita is very likely.

I said in the title 'Could'; that doesn't mean it WILL happen for a lot of these games. Still, vote if you are interested and spread the word about the Vita if you want more games on the console :).

Yes :). Its has more playable characters, not how I edited the name in the thread. Its the same game as the original that game with the 3DS version of Azaure Gunvolt, but a bit different.

Oh, well I have that already. But I voted for it anyway, no harm in voting. The only game that's uninteresting to me is that Yakuza 0 Companion App.

Oh, so someone with no actual sway. Gotcha. Won't waste my time on this then.

Wow.....well, I get if you don't care but consider voting for the games. Even if nothing comes from this, it doesn't hurt spending five minutes filling out a poll.

I tried the Yakuza Ishin companion app and it was absolutely great, great graphics and lots of content, a full fledged game... Too bad you had to have the PS4 game to keep playing after a certain point, i guess it's the same with Yakuza 0 right?
It would be awesome if they make it standalone, even paid, otherwise leaving as is(free with the need of the PS4 game) would be disappointing.

It's Man God, I don't think I've ever seen him say a positive thing
just ignore it

I've been talking with Liam about this, and while he told me a few things in confidence I won't repeat, I will say this: the hard numbers are important. If we can get enough numbers to make a few of these localizations/developments happen through this, not only will we have earned the localizations/developments, but we'll have a lot more respect to try this out with more titles. Everybody wins.

Please fill it out!

Completed the survey. Mana is such a perfect Vita game, hopefully this works.

It'd also be great if Greg and Colin heard about this. They got Taco Master to chart for goodness sake.

Adventures of Mana please! It gets us one step closer to Seiken Densetsu 3 in the west!

Did my part. I wish they would bring Attack on Titan to the US. I'd totally buy that if they put an english translation (i'd be fine with subtitles. Just some way I can understand what's going on). The only game I'm all that excited for this year since we aren't getting Attack on Titan is the Civilization one (and since they didn't put a character limit I expressed all of this in their free question of which are you most excited for).

Wasn't too excited for any of the games they specifically asked about btu I'd probably buy Mana if they put it on the Vita (I love playing RPGs on my Vita). And even told them truthfully that I wouldn't buy it elsewhere (rather play on my vita than on my phone and I'm kinda spoiled by my Vita, I prefer RPGs on my vita and Mana is not interesting enough for me to get over that to play it on the PS4).

I really want Freedom Planet but I have some interest in all of them.

Still Waiting on Taco Master to get a European release :(

Attack on Titan? That's definitely getting localized.

Even if you're not, the number of people who'd still be willing to respond to the survey is still good hard data for other publishers to think about developing/localizing Vita games.

I generally think of it like this: If I know somebody who would buy the game, I answer positively to indicate interest. I figure that not everybody interested in these games is taking the survey, so I answer "for them."

I only want Adventures of Mana, but I know plenty of people who wanted all of these games. So I answer positively to indicate the group interest

Don't do this. I got overzealous and didn't realize how stupid this was.

The problem with that approach being that knowing the exact amount of people who would take the survey, even if they don't want any of the games being offered on this round, is still useful data. "Answering for them" is the best way to make this data...not useful.

I can see that. And I guess I should have faith that fans will actually take a survey to vocalize their interest in these games.

So, on second thought, don't do what I did. Share the link with others and encourage people to answer for what they want.

I will rectify my error by simply purchasing any of these games if they are localized. Therefore, I am not a liar and actually a great hero.

Hayarigami (the NIS Visual Novel Horror game) is what I want. That, and Uppers (Marvelous Vita Brawler/Beat 'em up game). Oh wait, not on the poll. That sucks.

I thought this was going to just be to select a game from the four. This survey is actually extremely in-depth for purchase and play habits and requires absolutely no registration. If you enjoy Vita/PS TV at all, I'd contribute to it, as we can all benefit from data like this being collected to show that we spend, play, want and enjoy full featured releases.

This is the most important one

Yep, I checked the shit out of No on that one.

Yeah I would recommend against doing that. Answer truthfully for you and share the survey.

If you just answer yes for everything, the results could be misleading for publishers. Three people answering yes for one game each is different than one person voting yes for all of them.

Soooo refreshing to have questions on a survey that are actually worthwhile and clear.

Great survey Liam + VoteVita team!

Sweet... I just had gone to some page I found first to list what was coming this year cause I couldn't remember to answer their last question. It only listed Titan as Japan and I didn't know much about it other than some gameplay I saw and that I've seen the anime so I just assumed that meant no US/english version.

Did my part and voted for Mana.

Tbh, I don't know how fruitful this can be. This is nothing than Vita fans crying for more games. Liam is a Youtuber. He isn't working for the industry so I'm not sure what he meant when he said he talked to developers. Who did he talk to? Those who have power to make decision or just dudes that manage Twitter account?

I love the Vita to death but I think this poll could be more impactful if Liam send it to Gio Corsi.

I'm pretty sure he directly talked to the pubs and got them to consider porting if a certain amount of users showed interest in the game.
It's only portable lol.

Think he means Freedom Planet.

And our cries are actually heard on occasion lol. It's the reason Borderlands 2 got ported and the petition for Digimon Cyber Sleuth was a big reason for its localization. I also count Type-0's localization as a result of our crying even though we still got fucked in the end lol.

Anyway, it never hurts.

I know one thing: It's better than doing nothing!

He emailed many, many, many publishers and asked their opinions. And he's already sending tweets towards Sony people like Corsi.

The Yakuza Companion App is my personal red flag for this campaign. If Sega wont bring all those vita games, they are willing to bring a costly F2P with IAP?

Of course, answered the poll truthfully and rooting for Mana and Gal Gunvolt.
