I think you can attach a paypal account with nothing on it.
Guacamelee released on the same date on both platforms and was GWG day 1. It didn't become PS+ until 10 months later.

Yeah but the strategy of releasing the game for free has paid off for the dev enormously. Didn't they make something like $100 million off of paid DLC? Can't see why they wouldn't use the same strategy on the Xbox.
Guacamelee's original version was free with PS+ before its remixed version was free with GWG, iirc.
Sony pays them that's probably where a lot of that $100m came but it's not going to be the full amount. Plus there's PC game sales too, according to SteamSpy the game's done quite good there.

That pretty much confirms it's not GWG. Disappointing really even though it's not the devs fault but I'll be holding off a few weeks to make sure the game still has a userbase.

BTW Hands of Fate is pretty kick ass got it on the PS4 so if it drops for GWG grab that. Now if only The Orange Box would become backwards compatible.

The fact that they didn't announce a date makes me think it will be a "surprise" gWg title. If they announced a Feb 1st or 15th release date it would be easy to assume it as a GWG. Chris Charla has posted a screenshot of him playing it on XB1 so clearly it's already in, ready for or through certification.
I hope it is anyways, I already have it on PC and PS4 but I have a bunch of XB only freinds that I'm excited to play this with and will gladly triple dip regardless of it it's free or not.

No it's not.
The fact that they have "no official date" actually makes me think it WILL be GwG from the 16th.
For the game to be successful on a platform getting it 7 months later and sectioned off from cross-play, it needs to be GwG to build the player base.
The reason I took that as it won't be GWG was that it sounded like they didn't have a specific date until they passed certification, but if it was going to be GWG I'd think all this shit would be done well in advance to ensure its ready for 16th.
If it was going to be GWG I think they would just respond with like "We'll announce the date shortly, stay tuned!" instead it sounds like they really don't know themselves.

I don't agree with this. Rocket League is a game with a ton of hype and excitement, Xbox is well known for online multiplayer popularity and looking at any available sales charts we can see that multiplayer games do incredibly well on Xbox in general (and always have done).
Sure, its releasing 7 months later or so but I think Rocket League is something people would be willing to double dip on to play with their Xbox friends and also new people will want to play given the popularity of the game and multiplayer on the platform. Its an easy to get into and enjoyable game, its also what $20? Ark is doing pretty well launching 6 months later in Game Preview at a much higher price.
I don't think online community is going to be an issue for Rocket League on Xbox One, perhaps if it was a larger scale multiplayer game then more questions arise but given its 4vs4 max there will be a lot of people playing with their friends in parties and doing matchmaking etc, it'll be fine and if it doesn't launch on Games With Gold it can always go on it later

Hm...maybe. I just think there'd be a decent amount of overlap on Xbox+PS4 owners who already got RL via PS Plus. If it's not free, I'd wager most would rather not pay to play again imo.

I'd be willing to pay the right price for Rocket League, but I'm pretty sure most of my friends would not. If it's GWG though, I can get them to try it out and see if they actually like it.

How do you download Witcher 2 on XBO? When I find it in the store it says I have to pay. On the website it says it's free, but there's only a 'download to Xbox 360' option.

With the "download to XBox 360" option you assign the game to your account. After that you can download the game in you "My Games and Apps" app where it is shown in the "ready to install" section.

I don't think it's just level 5 that sucks.
I'm a huge fan of side scrolling beat-em-ups and can probably list 20 games I would rather play than this one. Maybe not available on xbone, but I'd rather spend the time plugging in my 360 and playing something on that than spending more time with that game.
Gears 2 will come later I think due to the UE deal just ending, and unless I'm mistaken they have that rainbow 6 siege bundle in some places that comes with vegas 2 so don't think that will happen either.

Not sure if they'll give Alan Wake away or bundle it as a pre order bonus, but I think at least one of them will happen.
I don't think they're going to give those preorder bonuses anytime soon, also not sure they would give away another already released game (if the Hand of Fate "leak" is true though), but another newly released indie.
For 360 I have a feel they're going to be new games, maybe along with similar games made backward compatible. Maybe Bioshock 1 GWG and 2+Infinite on BC?

Pretty sure they gave away both Gears 2 and Vegas 2 before, so it probably won't be either of those. I could see Hand of Fate. Unity feels a little early still though.

Agree on Unity but black flag came early too, so who knows. I think Unity will be next year with Watch Dogs this year, but at a later date.

Nope, they have never given away Gears 2 or Vegas 2.
They have given away Gears 1, 3, Judgement and Vegas 1 but not Gears 2 or Vegas 2. Which makes them highly likely candidates.
I'd also say the fact that they were pre-order bonuses makes it even more likely that they will be GWG. The same goes for Unity which was part of last Holiday's console bundle. As you can tell, I have zero faith in Microsoft delivering any decent value with this service. lol
