Remote Play on PC should be pretty awesome, but the one feature I want more than anything is the ability to play games off of an external HDD like Wii U and Xbone can.

Geez, just because I don't feel like playing at a given time I'm already being a snob to my friends. Think of it whatever you will, but it's far from being dishonest. My friends and I don't always play together or play the same games all the time. Doesn't make the friendship mean anything less.

Also, turning off notifications will make you look more snobby than just appearing offline. Not to mention it's too much of a hassle to keep going to the settings to turn the setting on or off.

If they're doing remote play then some officially sanctioned and supported controller drivers for the PC would be nice. Can't see how it would hurt Sony.

What I would like to see more is a universal set-up for all movie apps on PS4. I still get confused between Vudu's controls and PS4's own Blu-Ray/DVD player controls. Some consistency would be appreciated.

Just make it so there's an option to notify if favorite contacts are online.

If you have low numbers of friends this wouldn't really be a concern. But there is the scenario where having a high number of friends especially really active ones would trigger the notification quite frequently.

The cap is 2000 so imagine someone with 2000 friends all of which game a lot.

I had to personally disable party notifications because it was frequent enough to feel annoying for me. Even communities had a similar issue.

Do we know if PC remote play will be using the same bitrate and resolution caps as Vita Remote play? I hope this release accompanies an option for increased image quality on PC.

Depends on how appearing offline is going to be implemented on the PS4. It's so easy to appear offline on the PS3, so who knows how it will be now. Appearing offline is still a lot less snobby than appearing online and not responding to messages and invitations.

Anyway, there's no point pursuing this with you. You're guaranteed to get your preferred stability update in a few months anyway.

I'm glad they are bringing remote play to PC BUT they need to fix it on PlayStation tv for those of us who bought these things with remote play in mind! It runs like shit compared to Xbox one streaming and the input lag is insane. And frame rate even on a full hardwire connection is a joke.
And I want better game organization. And fix game audio cutting out occasionally when playing a game after coming out of rest mode.

I played the entirety of The Witness over remote play with no issues. Granted my PS4 and PSTV are all wired

So are mine full cat6 gigabit network with a nighthawk router. I play Destiny a lot and it is super laggy with remote play controller input is sluggish and Framerate is headache inducing it wasn't like that 3 firmwares ago.

And forget trying to play bloodborne on it

Have you set yours to high frame rate?

To chime in on the disc thing, for me it varies. If I have a game suspended, that will stay at the front. If I havent got anything suspended after a cold boot, my disc game will move to the front. I didnt think that was unusual simply because every console Ive owned spins the disc in the drive at start up.

Hell, even my pc used to do that when it had a disc drive.

With the way the PS OS works, the moment a disc spins, its bumped up the queue. Its no different from when you insert a disk while suspending a game.

On what play thru. Try NG+7 it's to slow responding.

Try high tried standard even different resolutions it just a poor expierience. I played this last IB on Xbox one remote to my wireless win 10 tablet and it was very stable. I just want Sony to make it right! I payed full price 140 for my first PSTV and 60 for my second one. I feel very ripped off. It's inexcusable.

So I want these firmwares to fix it

I wish that the PS3 had a library with all owned games like PS4/Xbone do. Like how you can view them all regardless if theyre installed or not.

I wonder if they'll do anything to differentiate betas/demos and real purchases. I had strider and thought it was the full game but it wasn't.

I bought two PS4s on launch day and genuinely believed that lack of folders / organisation was such an egregious missing feature that it would be in within 3 months. No big deal, right? Christ was I naive. It'll be 3 years maximum. I'll be playing NX and selling this piece of shit by then.
