It is really weird how broforce won the votes, but I wonder if this will work out better financially for the devs. $10 for a game like this is a great value.
In a way I'm actually kinda glad it didn't win the vote, because I get to buy it at a discount and keep it after my PS+ subscription runs out.
I'm still trying to beat his Devil Daggers time.
Hopefully that's the case because Brofarce is lame. Voted for and just bought Cactus. Wish i'd seen it earlier could've been playing instead of just waiting around for The Division to show up.
I bought Broforce on Steam last year. That's how I knew to vote for AAC.
AAC slipped under my radar, though, I didn't even hear of it until the PS4 vote.

Since Shaneus is a 💫 (seriously mate, you're awesome thanks!!) and I loved your game since the early days of Steam EA and those crazy gifs, I'll be sure to 100% support AAC day1 on WiiU! Dat gamepad action and couch multiplayer with my controller of choice is going to be even sweeter!
Go ahead, trust me on this. Even the demo at Paz' booth was smooth and that was like almost a year back. You can also check upped videos with frantic action going on, game seems silky smooth 98% of the time, great performance all around.
Btw, just got home, -75 minutes to take off F-yeah!
store's description says 1.4Gb but my download cue says 2.3Gb, weird

The likes of Durante have already commented on how Assault Android Cactus has near pitch-perfect frame pacing on PC, so I wouldn't worry about PS4 optimization going off of what others are saying here.

True. Broforce is terrible too. It's the same indie, pixel art game that people complain about everybody complains about having too much on of on PS+ so idk who actually voted for it

Someone from Witch Beams PR team sent me a press code for this game this morning. I've been playing it all day with my fiance.
It's really fun, absolutely recommend, fantastic gameplay with the dynamic stages, responsive controls and flexible weapons. Only negative thing I would say about it is that it lacks online co-op, which is indeed a shame, but not uncommon for this type of game.
I only write for a small independent publication, but for what it's worth, I'll be giving it a good score.

This game doesn't have issues like Broforce or Firewatch. Safe to buy on PS4

Played 2 players co-op for an hour during lunch break here at work. Yep, it's just as bananas as the PC version. Captured a bunch of video, but it's all from 30fps PS4 hardware. Witch Beam are geniuses. Excellent, excellent game!

Yeah I'm going to buy this. I voted for this over Broforce which is a stupid one note joke that went on too long.
For some reason I only just noticed there was a PC demo on Steam. Tried it now and yeah, I'm joinng the "AAC was robbed" bandwagon, it should've won. It it had a demo up on PSN prior to voting, it probably would have.
I should be buying this on PC for 4k/ultrawide goodness, but I want to see it on Vita later on.

Reminder that you haven't played Assault Android Cactus at its most tense if you haven't aim for S+ ranks yet. The Options menu also has a handy auto-restart feature you can enable to streamline the 'grind.'

Got through the first four bosses and boy am I having a blast with this game! I love Cactus and Holly although Starch wrecks some levels and she has some great lines. One boss asks Starch why shes on the other team, her response is team balance.
The humor is on point, the graphics/performance is sublime and the gameplay is amongst the best in its class and soooo satisfying to chain up combos. Can't wait to play more!

Yeah, the enemy count scales with players. There's also an option that can scale it up as if there were more players than are playing.

I just have no clue. It is a shame.
I just don't get it. It exemplifies what is despised about indie games (which is a mistake but yeah). It then goes on to win anyway. I don't know, maybe it is just the themes and style of the game. Men shooting guns and blowing stuff up and memes everywhere.

You can enable AI companions, but you'll need to raise enough points by yourself first and unlock it on the EX menu.
