They also claim that the OS takes 4GB of RAM, but is somehow lighter weight than the PS4 OS (~3GB). And every question about power is responded with "a little better than PS4."

It was posted earlier. Some NX details will be given at the year end briefing on that date. NX info will have to be given out of necessity of explaining to investors how they will make their targeted profits by fiscal end 2017/2018 (which they said would be mobile and NX as the main factors).

Just caught up - it's fake. :(

I've spent the whole day reading this thread - it has been a fine journey guys.

Kinda sucks Nintendo probably won't be using a free-form display and will probably stick close to the Wii U's garbage controller's roots.

No, just basing it on the comments of Mr. Kimishima that details of new business (NX etc.) would be made available during the upcoming briefing (or when they provide forecasts, which could also be during a tentative news conference on April 27).

I will be very surprised if the main console controller even has a screen, unless it's very small and adds little to overall cost of the system, or if the portable functions as a controller as well.

You may not have but a shit load of people jumped on me for even suggesting it could be 3D printed. "But the glass! The glass is reflective and smooth, it can't be 3D printed!"

I am absolutely amazed that the white one in a render to be honest, I would have thought that was a 3D printed thing too.

No. At one point the Wii Remote had no buttons, speaker, or Nunchuck attachment. It was just a wand. Devs complained and got Nintendo to add those things. Could totally be the same situation here.

He could have heard that from anywhere or anyone, who may have just been speculating based on the patent.

There's zero context, so I wouldn't read much into it.

Who the fuck created these two fakes? I feel like I owe them money for the fucking hours and hours of entertainment I got out of this! In fact, I'm sure gaming websites earned tens of thousands of dollars in advertising revenue from this. Wait, actually, most of them didn't run it, did they? Which implies that they knew what it was from the start, but the NDA said they couldn't even deconfirm fakes.

You know the reason it's called the Gamepad is because its roots are old controllers like the NES and SNES when the term gamepad was the more common name for controller.

On top of that when asked how much ram the OS has reserved he says 4GB but the OS is less intensive than the PS4 one but not much more. So if its less intensive why would it have an extra GB of ram reserved?

Unless everything else they wrote is true, and they purposefully made up DDR5 to make it seem unconvincing, meaning they'd stand a better chance of getting away with leaking information!

If there's a twenty percent chance of it being real, we must treat it as a certainty.

Do we have a reason to believe he's in the know either? He just says "I heard". He doesn't even suggest he had a reason to believe his source was viable (which makes sense since if it was he'd have made an article on it). For all we know, the same leaker or one of his friends just pretended to be an inside source and contacted him on it, then used that to make it seem like an independent validation

The black controller looked so REAL, though it's clearly a fake.
