Serious question. How many members of Rick's party has the Survivors killed? It's 0 right? Is Negan and crew even THAT bad compared to Rick's group?

I don't think it much spoiler to say the Negan is like the
Governor 20x over(mayber even more)
(decided to put it in a spolier tag, though it's very light spoiler and doesn't include anything from the comic)

comic book spoiler: (this is a legit spoiler though)

It takes like 3 villages to match Negan's 1 village

I will say shame on Carol, she knew despite her letter they would look for her now 4 people are in danger and with one of them in immediate danger

The one in immediate danger caused this one. Michonne, Glenn, and Rosita were going after Daryl. They knew nothing of Carol

Daryl gets shot and Carol goes missing. We also get to see Negan finally making his cameo. The stated that Negan was going yo show himself. Also the foreshadpwing in this episode. To me eithet Glenn or Michone will be killed off. Daryl like usual will live. Next season, I'm guessing Carol will save Rick's life again and take out Negan. Seems thats the entire Season 7.

na, he has done nothing all season basically. I hope he dies soon, his character is boring at this point

Too many characters, you could say the same for Maggie until these last few episodes (and now zombie baby?).

I loved the Carol scene in the beginning. Did not see that coming. Melissa McBride is such a great actress, she even fooled me.

I don't think Daryl is dead, but I'd say his days are numbered. He was kind of a nothing character for several seasons now, with little to no character development, so I won't miss him honestly. He was only interesting when Merle was still around, and that one-off episode where he burned a house down with Beth.

"The bat."

That's a spoiler. That item has no significance to us yet. You change what we look for, how we watch the show, by saying things like that and putting it in our head. People have been doing it for forever.
And a lot of the bat jokes have been in relation to Glenn specifically.

Just because it's not a direct decription of a particular event doesn't mean it's not a spoiler.

Edit: Not to say it's you or your fault specifically. But it's an annoying trend you contributed to. Be more careful with your posts. More spoiler tags are never ever bad.

My apologies then. I'll be more aware of that going forward.

The guy on i09 who covers the show has been making observations since they killed off all those Saviors that it's hard to root for the characters now that they're out and out murderers who killed people in their sleep. Personally, I don't see it. Rick's group is "our" group. I don't care about whether they're morally superior to their foes or not I just want them to score more points than their opponents.

Who is Yvette? I've seen her before, is she just a massive fan or someone famous?

One of the actors from Community. She's a "fan favorite" of the Talking Dead because she keeps that notebook (Hardwick noted earlier) around while she's watching the show to make notes and predictions about the future of the show and to discuss things (like #Richonne) on the show.

I can see this for a reason. I feel they have to lose a fan favorite character in the season finale to keep that hype. Here's a question though, would people rather see Daryl or Carol go in the season finale? It kind of seem likes they are setting up several possibilities but I feel those are going to be the main two set up parallel in the season finale and then bam one is dead and one is saved.

I would rather see Daryl go. Carol and Daryl are both badasses, but Carol has actually had depth as a character in recent seasons beyond just "woop woop I can massacre crowds of people!"

At the moment Rick's crew is the Harlem Globetrotters. And everyone else is the Washington Generals midget squad.
Hard to feel too concerned about the Globetrotters when one of their star players chips a nail or twists an ankle while protecting a 50-point lead.

Add me to the "would rather see Daryl go" camp.

I'd love to see Carol die. Although I know damned sure she won't.

Her character has been bothering me for a long time, and now they've basically written her to be some kind of troubled immortal god. It's stupid.

I wouldn't even care if Carol died at this point. The writers were able to ruin here character in 3 episodes.

Sepinwall not being too kind in this week's review:

He's not wrong. Daryl going out makes sense for feeling guilty about Denise's death being on his crossbow/him. I don't think Glenn, Rosita, and Michonne needed go after him. But I guess that would've killed his plot-armor because it's incredibly stupid to go into the "den of wolves" (heh) to find the person that killed her by himself.

Rick and Morgan going out makes sense because they're both highly skilled in survival (so far) and could track her down and maybe talk some sense into her without being killed unlike the rest of the survivors.

But what's blowing my mind is how they talk about how people are guarding or putting up guard posts but expect the Saviors to NOT attack right after they got hit.

I would rather see Daryl go. Carol and Daryl are both badasses, but Carol has actually had depth as a character in recent seasons beyond just "woop woop I can massacre crowds of people!"

You could say the same for Daryl when writers actually write things for him.

The problem is they have too many "main characters" not to focus on.

I'd say Enid, Maggie (and the baby killing her like Lori?), and a few others are gonna bite it if only because of their lack of camera time. But I doubt Maggie will since he's a "fan favorite" for a bunch of straight men wanting Loren Cohan.

Can someone explain to me what I missed last week? My DVR didn't catch it and I'm totally lost as to why Daryl wants to leave and all of this stuff going on makes zero sense.

Popping back in this thread to warn others who haven't read the comics to pretty much stay out of it. Spoilers are blatant and abundant; people throw things out there that are clearly informed, or comic spoilers outright and it has hurt my experience. It only takes one careless slip up to ruin things, and it sucks.

For example, waaaay back (few seasons ago, I think season fucking three), some poster said something to the effect of: (big spoilers for coming episodes???)
Glenn can't die yet, he's got a date with negan. I had no idea what or who that was back then (and still don't), but it definitely came to ruin things later on.
Just a really inconsiderate thing to say. Honestly, people who have read the comics should just refrain from discussing the show entirely in this thread, or be extremely careful in the remakes they choose to make.

The Saviors killed Denise after ambushing Daryl and a few others.

He feels responsible for Denise's death because the guy he let live early in the season was the one to kill her.

Hell, Kirkman spoiled that with the baseball bat being a cross-over item in Payday 2 to promote "Overkill's The Walking Dead" game on Steam a year or so ago.

This episode kinda pissed me off. Everyone was making stupid ass decisions (more than usual) over a character that I personally don't think any viewers cared about. Sure she "saved' Carl, but I always viewed her as a redshirt.

But whatever, I supposed they needed to get people out in the wild as easy pickens to pave the way for the finale.

Can I just say that your spoiler mentioning it was a few seasons back made me think it was okay to highlight, but it's actually not. :( This is a spoiler for next week maybe.

Denise died last week and Daryl blames himself for her death as the man that killed her was the guy Daryl let live (Dwight) earlier in season. Daryl doesn't like being taunted and humiliated by Dwights antics.

Anyone else worried about the rumor that BIG POTENTIAL SPOILERS
the last shot of the finale will be a first person shot of someone getting the bat from Negan, and we don't even find out who died until the next season?

It's the stupidest fucking idea, but stupid enough for AMC to do.

I'd be very happy with a zero tolerance approach on spoilers. No spoiler references, no tagged spoilers, nothing. Force em to use the spoiler thread for those discussions.

poor maggie and her zombie bady....😞

that hair cut though..😑 about as dumb looking as the reason she gave for cutting it...

Chris hardwick basically just admitted he's read the comics, yet is pretending constantly how he doesn't know how the show is gonna play out.

Sounds weird as hell.

reading the comic doesn't mean you know exactly what's going to happen you basically know certain characters that are bound to appear and future locations, other than that the story has gone completely away from the comic in certain areas; specially those who should be dead and those who should be alive

I was confident this was the only safe haven to discuss Walking Dead without being spoiled but apparently we have assholes who have invaded this thread to ruin it for everyone.

Ya'll know what and who I'm talking about, and there asses should be banned.
