What if we just get multiple wtf moments in the finale lol
That would be wonderful. Not like that Season 3 finale. Remember that horrible finale? Where The Governor killed most of his own guys himself and then drove off with Martinez and Shumpert while Andrea got munched by a freshly turned Milton and humanely put down. I mean, yeah, we got rid of Andrea (finally) but man, what a let down that was.

Popping back in this thread to warn others who haven't read the comics to pretty much stay out of it. Spoilers are blatant and abundant; people throw things out there that are clearly informed, or comic spoilers outright and it has hurt my experience. It only takes one careless slip up to ruin things, and it sucks.

For example, waaaay back (few seasons ago, I think season fucking three), some poster said something to the effect of: (big spoilers for coming episodes???)
Glenn can't die yet, he's got a date with negan. I had no idea what or who that was back then (and still don't), but it definitely came to ruin things later on.
Just a really inconsiderate thing to say. Honestly, people who have read the comics should just refrain from discussing the show entirely in this thread, or be extremely careful in the remakes they choose to make.

Chris hardwick basically just admitted he's read the comics, yet is pretending constantly how he doesn't know how the show is gonna play out.

Sounds weird as hell.
If you read the comics you would know that the comic and show are completely different entities.

was happy about Andrea but yeah soooooooo glad i watched the first 5 seasons pretty much back to back... i wish this was a netflix show that could have real language, ( not the word shit ever other sentence) nudity and extreme voilence, even more than it has now, on top of getting to binge watch the whole season...

I was confident this was the only safe haven to discuss Walking Dead without being spoiled but apparently we have assholes who have invaded this thread to ruin it for everyone.

Ya'll know what and who I'm talking about, and there asses should be banned.

Yeah I'm very annoyed at what's transpired. Those comments combined with TD has me pissed. But whatever we'll see

That was one of the worst episodes of any show I've ever seen. Truly horrible.

I stopped watching the show on TV half way through season 1, and sat through all the garbage of seasons 2 and 3 in a marathon in the days leading up to this finale because my brother convinced me that it really did get good, and the finale was going to be so crazy.

So disappointing. Not worth it at all. I watched the season 4 premiere purely to try and get some return on investment. It was pretty good, and then I was told the show was under new management, so I gave it another chance. And it's gotten much better since then, but Lord oh' Lord I will never forgive this show for that smelly garbage shit pile of an episode capping off puss stain of a season and a god awful showrunner.

Which is why I'm getting scared with how lazy the show seems to be leaning again...

If this finale sucks I don't know if I'll be back tbh.

Alexandria's gonna get mollywhopped, and Maggie's zombie-human baby with the cure in its blood will disappear, so everyone will go looking for it and end up on a farm. And in the barn will be a bunch zombie Shane babies.
Zombie baby, main cast memb death or two, Rick bites another guys neck. Boom!

Man, I kinda wish the show didn't pull the trigger on introducing the saviors so early. Once we had that savior warehouse infiltration episode, everyone knew we were just in for filler episodes until the finale.

Hopefully Negan's introduction is worth it to justify these past few episodes because I really think they're holding back just to blow their load in the finale, which better be worth it.

Edit: Oh shit Gabriel getting hyped!

Them standing around casually talking in the exact same spot where Denise got crossbowed by an unseen assailant last week is the dumbest thing in the world.

I'd be very happy with a zero tolerance approach on spoilers. No spoiler references, no tagged spoilers, nothing. Force em to use the spoiler thread for those discussions.

The problem with that is we discuss future TV spoilers openly and a lot. It's a great thread if you don't care about knowing that stuff but if you do, it's not safe.

That said, this thread is horrible with spoilers and cutesy remarks that people think are clever. They aren't.

Yo screw Hardwick too. I was only half paying attention but I heard him name-drop
both Lucille and "The Kingdom," whatever that is.

I swear AMC conspires to spoil as much of this show as possible. Guess I'll have to stop watching Talking Dead now too.

Talking Dead has ALWAYS been spoilery.
Always.

Kind of obvious that a talk show about the series would talk about the future of the series.

It has spoiled the comics, which is a shame, but understandable since they compare comic execution to show execution.

I don't recall them talking about things that have happened in the comics but have yet to happen in the shown as openly as they have over the past few episodes. Maybe I'm wrong and wasnt paying attention or they were just more minor spoilers, but regardless, there's really no reason for this. Even the promotional material can overdo it.

I'm sorry to complain so much, I think I've just hit my limit with all this tonight. After the finale, I think I'm just going to start reading the comics and be done with all this.

The episode was ok.

1) The decision to follow Daryl was pretty nonsensical. He is an expert tracker, so he is not defenseless. The only one with a valid motive was Rosita (Denisse was also under her guard), really.

2) I can understand Dwayne being some rural ninja, but the idea that neither Daryl, nor Rosita could notice the others, is kinda too convenient. Specially because the trap was pretty obvious, and both came from the exact same direction, instead of spreading themselves.

3) Morgan dropping the truth bombs. He is not an asshole, but he could totally have said "Rick, you are an idiot, and can't even see it" after how the blind attack on the Saviors is blowing on their face. The fact that after all, he is still happy to attack random people is baffling. I mean, being in full war with 1 faction group is not enough, right?

Anyway they both respect each other, and the bonding moment was pretty good.

Finally, not sure if anyone noticed, but the chapter kept showing that a lot of people seem to have Hilltop weapons. Wonder what is hinting at.

Love these characters reminiscing about nonsensical bullshit in the middle of the woods. Last time that happened (albeit not in the woods) someone got a arrow through their fucking orbital socket. When will these idiots ever learn? I like watching this show, but damn, are these people stupid at times.

he doesn't shoot Daryl, he shoots us
thats why the blood in the screen, is all a metaphor from AMC that says "fuck you"

Sorry you got spoiled. It's always been that way on the show though. Usually he does issue a spoiler warning at the start of episodes though so I have to say he usually covers his ass.

Did he do it this time though? I dunno.

Maybe you SHOULD take a break from the show.

It irks me endlessly that they keep stopping to chat like that. They know better by now.

What time is it?
Terrible episode. Putting everyone in danger for logic defying reasons feels cheap. Definitely the low point in this season for me.

Somebody's probably already said it, but after the bullshit they pulled with Glenn's "death" it feels like there is really no point in fretting over other ambiguous deaths. Daryl will probably be fine. I presume that Carol is pretty much done for after this season ends, considering how emotional her actress was on the previous Talking Dead episode. She knows her arc is at an end.

So they wrote themselves into a corner and pretty much needed people to do dumb shit to force things to happen.

Christ...

holy shit carol. Bodied 5 guys in 1 pray and spray. I can't even do that in Uncharted mp. Left the other dude half dead and then stole his cigarettes too. Damn.

Is everyone in danger just because Carol decided to turn dumb?
I'm pretty sure Rick's decision to murder a bunch of them in their sleep is more to blame for the immediate danger they're all in now.

At the moment I can't even see Negan's people as the bad guys, they were attacked and they have every right to fight back. If it was the other way around and Negan had attacked Alexandria killing people in their sleep we'd all be cheering for Daryl sneaking through the woods and shooting arrows through Negan's people's heads.

Does Negan even know that Alexandria is responsible for killing everyone at their entire output? As far as I can tell, they left no survivors or anyone to tell the tale.....though who knows what's been happening over their radio comms.

At this point, yes. The men Carol confronted knew the exact location of Alexandria. There's probably background actions we aren't really seeing which is kind of a drag but it adds the mystery.
