I'm afraid this game is gonna blow up my PS4. It already sounds like a vacuum when I boot up Dark Souls 3. I can't imagine this.

As positive as I am with games, comments like best looking game ever don't cross my lips much. Let alone saying a game is a system seller... but it's been a long, long time since I've thought a console had a bona-fide 100% system selling game for consoles and Uncharted 4 hits that mark. Holy shit at the insane ammount of times I've said holy shit and I do belive in the game, where I'm at, the shit still hasn't quite hit the fan. Shiiiiiiiiitttttt!

Man it's so hard knowing I have more than 9 days to wait after reading such posts.

Keep up updated, and have fun :)

I just dusted the inside of my PS4 in anticipation for this game. I'm glad I did! The inside was extremely dusty! I have a feeling this game is gonna make PS4s work hard.

lol the excat same thing I'm gonna do too. My PS4 already goes into jet engine mode when playing 60fps games. Don't want to brick it when U4 pushes it to the limits like no other game before

creativity is something you can admire, anyone smart enouhg can code and makes things pretty, go and create a world full of life and make it enjoyable and incredibly satisfying to play over and over and over and over for over 20 years and keep people interested every time, that is talent

Sounds like you'll have an aneurism if you have to admit a non-Nintendo group is just as creative and talented. Ahahahahahahaha

Somebody. Anybody.

I need to know lol.

Why is Naughty Dog being so difficult?
TBH, I don't think the servers will be up before May 10th.

Also, I don't think a 5GB patch can contain the entire MP experience (8 maps, different modes, lots of skins etc.)

The MP beta was 10GB and it had 3 maps and one mode (TDM) only.

Also just sitting at the main menu, ps4 kicks it's jets in! Lol

This is bad news for my poor launch model, I hope it can make it, last ND game I played (TLOU) was the trigger that caused my launch PS3 to YLOD.

My PS4 also had a problem 2 weeks ago where it would beep randomly and start ejecting disks, luckily problem was solved by itself but I really hope U4 won't trigger it again, that would suck hard.

The MP isn't ready yet, remember Shinobi said the MP would be a separate download?? I guess it's not ready yet. It'd be weird for it to be only 5GB when that's half the size of the beta.

Same here. My goodness, I am not sure I am ready
fuck yeah, I am ready!

Probably like the beta, where the menu is not framerate capped, thus the jets, but in gameplay it settled down.

I recall it being mentioned somewhere that UC's MP don't really have a lot of unique assets, and that the MP team works off the asset base that the campaign team makes.

Oh jesus the wait was already excruciating enough.

I need to stop reading this thread but I can't.

Is it difficult to open and clean the PS4? I want to get this baby tuned before embarking on one last processor melting adventure with Nathan.

Can't be more difficult to open than the PS3 and I opened that mofo twice.

Ended up with around 6 screws out, but whatever.

The use of colors in this game is nothign short of incredible.

Its really pretty to look at and not only tech wise.

This is what I believe really separates ND from other similar people in the cinematic AAA space. They have fantastic art direction, from the character design, the composition of their environments, the consistently thoughtful use of color, how they naturally guide the player using environmental cues and not waypoints, etc. They remind me of Valve back when they used to make video games.

Its not hard as all as long as you have the right screwdriver and torx security openers. Make you're you take the power supply out and clean the heat sink too.

I do it once every 2-3 months with my launch unit and I've never had an issue. Entire process takes like 15 minutes.

Its alot easier than taking apart the PS3. I didn't go as far as removing the power supply like recommended above. I felt exposing the fan was enough. You can see the heatsink inside; a little canned air (be careful with canned air!) along with a little vacuuming and dusting seemed to remove any visible dust. My PS4 was getting to jet engine levels (I could hear it even with headphones on!) but now it's extremely quiet.

on a technical level i agree but that's attributed to the fact that Sony's consoles are more powerful, the previous one and this one but saying that they are better than Nintendo on a creative level should get you arrested o_O

It takes creativity to achieve the technical performance Naughty Dog does with the hardware they receive. Major tricks and illusions up their sleeves.

Nintendo is good at squeezing graphics out on limited hardware too, but they usually only go for a simplistic graphical style. They rarely go for the challenges of realism or semi-realism like naughty dog.

No, youre greatly underselling the creativity, ingenuity, and problem-solving skills it takes to program something like what Naughty Dog does.

Would like to echo a quick question I've seen posted with no answer (that I've seen).

Can you play the game with the photo mode adjustments/filters locked in during gameplay the way you can in the order ? Really want that.
