if it wasnt for Cyberpunk 2077 this would right now be my most anticipated game ever since the release of the first one

Viktor Antonov was too busy working on Battlecry to help with Dishonored 2's art, right? A shame. His art was half of what made Dishonored so good for me. Rarely do you get to see places that are as (visually) interesting as Dunwall.

Nice, the one trailer they showed for this looked good. Still need to play the first one, I have the remastered version, just need to get around to it.

Really looking forward to this, the first was one of my favorites from last gen. I'll be doing at least 4 playthroughs.

I really hope the release date doesn't hurt it. Can it compete with the BF (probably this year), cod et al onslaught?

Although there is clearly some audience overlap, do you honestly believe the average Call of Duty or Battlefield consumer would consider purchasing Dishonored 2 if it released in October? February? April? I don't.

The only way Dishonored 2 becomes a flop is if it reviews poorly or Bethesda does a horrible job marketing the game.

Dishonored 1 had incredible art direction but some low fidelity (texture res).

Dishonored 2 will have incredible art direction now at id tech 6 levels of fidelity (their customized version called 'Void').

Cannot fucking wait. D1 is already in my top 3.

Hell yeah! The winter months usually suck for me cause I don't play COD so I will be picking this up day one.

A question, Is digital version of GI still buggy? Every time I think about subbing I'm reminded the app doesn't work so well

Honestly, the ultra lazy port of Dishonored 1 on current gen has completely turned me off of this game. I bet it will look worse than Mirror's Edge Catalyst on consoles but still only manage to run at half its framerate.

Bethesda has to have something big up there sleeve for E3 to have another press conference. It can't just be for Dishonored 2 and like Fallout 4 DLC.

Well, it's a Bethesda game. And their games (especially the RPG ones) usually have 3rd person option.

Also this. I'm Sure I'd Love Dishonored... If It Didn't Make Me Sick.

Being published by Bethesda and being developed by Bethesda Softworks are very different.

As far as "makes me sick" that usually has to do with low fov, like 99% of the time it's the reason, which if you are playing on PC isn't an issue and hopefully they give the consoles the option to adjust it. I've never had motion sickness playing a game until I played The Darkness 2, and is was completely due to that game's awful FOV and how close I was sitting to the TV. Console games tend to lean towards a fov between 65-75. I think Dishonored defaulted to 65, which isn't very comfortable unless you are sitting a good distance away from the screen. An fov closer to 85-95 is what's most comfortable for just about everybody without having a fisheyed looking camera.

You mean it's an Arkane game.

Right, thanks for the correction. I'm generally not really following devs, pubs, and whatnot.

First person is a deal breaker for me most of the time. For example, I can't play Borderlands games if I don't install the 3rd person mod. I also couldn't enjoy Deus Ex HR, even though it has 3rd person view in certain parts. I watched my wife play it for me instead. 3rd person point of view is a must for me.

Only question.

Can I kill at least a few people and use the cool powers without locking myself out of an entire path through the game? Not being able to kill ANYBODY in the first one was really, really limiting.

They said the Chaos system is gonna be more granular besides "Go all stealth or YOU ARE BASICALLY HITLER] LOOK AT WHAT YOUR KILLING IS DOING TO YOUR DAUG-UH I MEAN EMILY"

You could kill a fairly large number of people and still get the happy ending. The game doesn't do a good job explaining the "Chaos" system so people think its stricter than it actually is.
It's a shame that people got hung up on getting the good ending though, the bad ending version of the final level is so much more fun.

The civil war for the iron throne.....or whatever metal it's made of.

Yeah. I blew up the factory as Daud and killed probably at least another dozen people in the dlc and still got the good ending.

100% this. I honestly think the bad ending where you save Emily is actually better than the good ending too myself. More bittersweet (or bitter) than the good ending which I preferred.

I'm still sort of torn. I loved the first Dishonored but I kind of don't want to buy a Bethesda game ever again after learning of their shitty business practices... (Fortunately, Dishonored really is the only Bethesda franchise I find interesting but that's still one probably great game I'd like to play but won't be able to if I follow my moral compass. #firstworldproblems :p)

Real talk, does anyone even care for The Outsider anymore after they ruined him by revealing his origins on twitter?

I do in the sense that I have no problem with the series standing on it's own sense of style rather than proper interesting background

im still invested in the story, but that aint really what im there for, and the outsider is just cool
