I'm thinking that Popplio will stay Water type, no splits

I hope not, we already have enough pure water types as it is. Though I think Water is the only typing to have been combined with every other type at least once, I'm hoping for a Water/Fighting type with a better stat dist. than Poliwrath and doesn't look like Keldeo.

I wonder if like Hoenn there will be a random ice cave just to include ice pokemon in the game since Hawaii isn't really known for its artic climate. Poor ice type always getting the short end of the stick.

Icy mountaintops in a warmer climate wouldn't be too weird.

A few hours after reveal and I still do not understand why these Pokemon look so bad and why they still haven't optimised the engine. You can see frame dips when the weird Moon legendary is charging an attack.

Bleh.

All in for Moon and Grass starter. Areas still look similar to XY, but somehow much better, and I like the character models.

So what other Pokémon should we be expecting? What kinds of animals are native to Hawaii.
I'm pretty sure it means that the bird shown in the teaser isn't a woodpecker, but a cardinal.

I hope we get more sea turtles. Just lots of sea creatures in general please. And cool birds. Maybe a chameleon?

Since we know that one of them is grass/flying. The fire one should have a subtype that is weak to flying and the water one should have a subtype that is strong to flying...

I believe this might be what they end up as:

Grass/Flying
Fire/Ground
Water/Electric

Or
Grass/Flying
Fire/Fighting
Water/Rock

It makes sense when you remember that Game Freak somehow found a way to include drops in a game featuring 2D static sprites with largely unimpressive animations for attacks in Diamond/Pearl. Their optimization is usually just "good enough", if that.

There's no way that's what it says.

How can you tell that's actually what it says? There's no way that's actually what it says.

It is actually what it says.

The first letter of every word is capitalized. Work your way down from there, open the video on that frame in full screen if necessary =p

Edit: Also those signs aren't super uncommon. Though I usually see the circus variant.

you guys have never been in some small town store that has a "unattended children will be sold as slaves" poster? maybe my childhood was just really rural...

After the villain team wanting to kill people in X/Y because they used too much Earth ressources, in Sun/Moon it'll be about enslaving children.

Eh, Delphox is weird but she's not awful. And Braixen is cool, at least.

And also her key art is just awkward. She looks better in a normal pose.

Chestnaught is def. worse imo

Yeah, I over reacted... I don't like her final form, but still think this one is way worse:

And it's a fighting type, one more reason I don't want Litten to become one. I don't like Emboar and Blaziken too much either tbh.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Yeah, those signs are pretty common in the U.S.---probably not the most tasteful thing you can put up, but most people see it as a harmless novelty item. The Japanese behind the commercial probably didn't pay much attention to it, or didn't think it'd be an issue---and I don't think it will be.

The thing about the pokemon in X/Y forward is that they are high poly as FUCK. I don't have numbers off hand but they are easily console level.
The idea being to not have to model 800+ pokemon in gen 8 because they already have them at a High enough poly count to still look good.

Worst thing with Chesnaught is the colouring. The Shiny version looks a lot better and fits in with the previous evolutions.
